How I'd Wear...

{how i’d wear} a denim blazer…

In the last of my denim outfits this month, I thought I'd share my go-to piece for wearing over a dress or for evenings out—a denim blazer. I tend to go in waves in wearing blazers…sometimes it's my jacket of choice to layer on top of everything, and sometimes I worry that it looks too business-like. So, I love a chambray or denim version that makes it feel much more casual, yet adds a bit of structure to an otherwise feminine look…

  1. This is my first time to comment though I’d been following your blog a year ago….such a lovely drawing….I’d wear my denim blazer with a colored skinny jean or a printed mini dress.

  2. Joy,
When I went to click the link for the dress it sent me to the blazer instead. Could you link that? I’d love to check the sequined dress out. I’m looking for a good one for all of the holiday parties that I know will be coming up in the next couple of months. Thanks!

  3. Love this look! My denim blazer is one of my go-to pieces for work and weekend. I have a darker denim one with the traditional two button front and I just love the way it looks over skirts and dresses. Might need to get a sequin dress to try this combo as well! 🙂

  4. I’m so glad you posted this! I’ve been craving a denim blazer lately and it’s really cool to see how you would style it. I think the sequin dress is really the icing on the cake. Cute post!

  5. I do the very same thing. I have this amazing purple blazer from Gap that sometimes I wear almost every other day with everything. Then there are periods that I don’t touch it for two weeks because I don’t want to look “corporate”. Denim would be a great addition!
