Happy Monday! We love showing you some ideas for making the most out of small spaces. Rarely do a lot of people have enough space to have a separate, designated guest room. It's often a guest room/office, guest room/play room, or let's be honest…a couch in the living room! So today, we're showing you how to effortlessly go from a home office to guest room with a few simple tips! Check it out…

1. Consider where you place your furniture! When planning a room that serves double-function, make sure the smaller furniture pieces are easy to move and position larger pieces so they function in either situation without having to move them. When we go from a home office to a guest room in this scenario, we only need to move the rattan chair and green ottoman out of the way. The chair functions perfectly for each space, as extra seating and a nice spot for guests to store luggage or bags. We didn't want to move the desk every time we turned it into a guest room, so we angled it in such a way that felt intentional and wouldn't get in the way of the foldout bed.

2. Have space to tuck things away. Boxes on the shelves are a great way to have a built-in spot to store items away in that you don't want out when guests are visiting. It also lets you clear space on the desk so they can hold and store their belongs while they're visiting.

3. Put a mirror on the wall! Mirrors have historically been a go-to decor item to make any space feel larger AND it's super convenient for guests to have a mirror in their room when getting ready. In this case, we grouped the mirror with other wall art which also makes a fun statement for guests and allows you an area to hang inspiration for when you're working in there!

P.S. A home office/nursery!
