This weekend, I paid a visit to the Philadelphia Museum of Art Craft Show. Funds raised are used to purchase works of art and craft for the permanent collections of the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
It was really nice to get re-aquainted with crafts and craftspeople by seeing all the amazing work out there. Exhibitors from all over the country and the world displayed their wares for the show. Here are some of my favorites….
1 ~ Super fun felt garlands and felt florals by Italian artist Danielle Gori-Montanelli.
2 ~ Gorgeous, delicate knitted felt scarves by Jeung-Hwa Park. Each piece contains tiny finely-knit cocoon-like shapes attached to the felted base. A true visual AND tactile delight!
3 ~ Beautifully organic and modern ceramics by Alec Karros, a professor at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia.
Joy,
Your blog is amazing. Thank you for visiting mine, and also putting me in your links section. I will do the same.
