These are a few of my favorite things! (part II)

Since I design home stuff, a lot of people ask me for recommendations on places to buy things, items that will work with their space, etc. While I love suggesting stores & items {as demonstrated by my blog!}, I always find it difficult to suggest a full array of items to realistically put together an entire room. I am far from an interior designer, so I’ve always found it best for me to find key durable pieces and mix in other smaller items I just love. Usually, it all works out…but often, I never really finish decorating my own home. As a young professional…things always get stalled when life, work, or lack of finances take over. However, here are a few of my favorite home items since furnishing my new apartment this year. This was a new challenge I had to hold back on all things overly girly to accomodate my new fiancé roomate…

1 & 2 ~ Michele Varian pillows and Jonathan Adler vases
3 ~ Espresso coffee table from CB2
4 ~ Pottery Barn Bedford Desk
5 ~ Handmade linen roman shades to cover the wall of windows in my apartment
6 ~ Found letterpress blocks, storage jars, and Roost urchin vases
7 ~ Anthropologie jewelry box {gift from pomme} on modular dressers from Hold Everything
8 ~ Roost chocolate blown glass lamp from Global Table with Benjamin Moore pearlescent paint on walls
9 ~ Dwell patterned sheets, Target solid sheets, and Nicole Miller duvet cover
10 ~ Flea market tea set now being used as vase
11 ~ Anthropologie latte bowls
12 ~ Swell trash can. This one’s for bath, but I love it more for the office!

{I’ve got most of the basics, but now the walls needs some love…some original, affordable art or graphic panels that won’t be too girly…}
