This cool new soda was featured in today’s Daily Candy, but I had to give it some extra love and attention for the sleek packaging and tasty flavors. Carbonated with fine champagne-style bubbles and sweetened with a small amount of pure cane sugar, Dry Soda combines the subtle essences of nature and ingredients from the kitchen in its four unique flavors of kumquat, rhubarb, lemongrass and lavender. They currently only sell at restaurants in Washington, California, and Oregon, but it can be purchased online here…
Even though I dig simplicity, I’m not that wowed over by the packaging for some reason. The unique flavors and the beverage concept are definitely cool, but it just reminds me of Smirnoff bottles and design. Have you seen Jones Soda? http://www.jonessoda.com/ I love the feel of their packaging–much more personality!
I actually featured it on my food blog a while back.

I tried the lavender soda at a wedding and it was very nice. I’m looking forward to trying the lemongrass but I’m a bit leery on the rhubarb. It doesn’t seem to be widely available yet outside of the Pacific Northwest. I’m here in California and haven’t found it in stores yet.
Sooo coool, designer sodas!!!!, i want to make my own.
Thank you, it is great !
