I started watching the new show, Dress My Nest on the Style Network and am loving it. Each episode is inspired by one girl’s favorite outfit to create a new look for her apartment. I’ve always been a fan of Thom Filicia and think he’s the perfect designer to host this show…it reminds me of Domino’s “turn this outfit into a room” editorials which I love. Even though the outfit-to-apartment translation may not work for those with significant others or roomates with much different tastes, the ideas behind it can inspire new ideas for any space.
what night/time is that on? it sounds like something i’d love.

YES! Joy, this show is awesome! I saw two episodes yesterday and loved them both. (Esp. the one with the really tall girl who was an international globetrotter and Thom papered her walls with a straw wall covering that mimiced the lining of her clutch.)
Oh I agree. Did you see the episode where he had to design a space around Hello Kitty and she was the cutest home owner in the whole wide world? I loved that she was 30, too cute. I agree, this show is great!

I love Thom…He was the best thing about Queer Eye!! I wish that they had a detail sheet to what and where they got some of the things to enhance the rooms. I really love the Bohemian Chic one. I would love to decorate my studio apartment like that. I came across your blog searching for Dress My Nest.

i watched the show for the 1st time this week where thom did an apartment around a dress, fur and earrings. the place looked re-born when he finished it but what i have to know, is where the giant photo cookies came from that the owner of the place gave as a thank you. i want to have some madeup for my upcoming anniversary as a surprize for my husband of 23 years. Please Help.

I just saw the show too, my first time, I love Thom and the work he did on that apt was great. I think they are showing it again tonight I only catch the last 7 minutes of the show, thanks for sharing a great post.

I LOVED THE EPISODE WITH ADRIANA SIGUENZA AND THE DOWNTOWN LOFT. THIS EPISODE WAS FUNNY AND REALLY ENTERTAINING. I GOT LOTS OF NEW IDEAS FOR MY PLACE. THE DESIGN WAS GREAT.
I liked the Adriana Siguenza episode, too – in fact, I have been trying to find a copy of the poster she had hanging that looked like Frida Kahlo. Does anyone know the name of this or where you can get it?
I was watching the show on Monday, 5/12. Where is the store Victory located? I just moved into a house (new construction) and I saw alot of items that caught my eye.

I was watching Dress my nest last week with the Hello Kitty room. It’s just so awsome, I ‘d love to re-style my room into that, I like the light green walls so much and the lights, I like the pink sofa and the white chandlier and white mirror. It’s all so artistic, I recorded the program and look at it again and again. Today I’m starting to paint my chairs and closet.
