I’m hopping on a plane today and headed to LA and San Diego for the weekend and all of next week! I’m looking forward to some sunshine, much needed time away, and a glimpse into my new life next year. While I won’t officially be back here until Monday, November 3rd, my interns and I have prepared a post a day to keep you satiated while I’m away. I’ll return the week of November 3rd with normal posting and hopefully some fun pics from the trip. Have a great weekend and week!

some sunshine sounds great, enjoy! 🙂
Have a wonderful time! Be warned it’s pretty warm down here but it should be gorgeous in san diego as always!
It’s definitely warm right now here in SD, but it should cool off in a while. I miss autumn weather though!
Have fun here, and enjoy your stay!

Yes, California…but West Coast for us is home in Oregon! Come up for a visit sometime–just as lovely but not as warm.
Safe journey,

Hillcrest is a great neighborhood if you like walking……..Whole Foods, yummy restaurants of all kinds, A+ vintage shopping and just minutes to Balboa.
Hope you have a great time in LA. I think it’s one of the greatest cities around. Don’t miss bbbot kinney in venice and intelligentsia in silverlake.
Joy have a fabulous time in your soon-to-be new digs. How fun! See you back here in November.

hi there,
please please consider the neighborhood called Kensington. It is close to downtown, but a little removed inland. Apparently, it was modeled after Beverly Hills, in that the streets are palm-tree lined and the neighborhood is beautiful! Many houses are full of character and personality, and often updated. So amazing! You can walk to many shops and restaurants, but it is quiet, safe and magical! Do not miss!
I live in Little Italy, and it is great, too. It has a farmers market every Saturday morning. I walk the dog and buy veggies all the time. It is wonderful down here. Welcome!
Sarah
If you find yourself heading to the north county you are very welcome to stop by our studio in Encinitas.
