  1. No!! I loved that magazine! I loved cliping ideas for the home from that mag! I wonder if they will still have the decorating file online for you to save ideas? That was a great feature!

  2. This stinks because while I HEART design blogs like this one, and get my best inspirations from blogs, there’s nothing like flipping through a magazine. It was a good one, and could fit a lot of different budgets.
Plus I just got my free subscription through ordering from West Elm, hmmm.

  3. I feel like a little kid throwing a tantrum. It’s not fair! Domino has been my *favorite* mag since the first issue! There just aren’t any others like it – especially in the States. I just clicked over to the site you linked to & it says they will be taking down the website as well. Boo! All of those glorious pictures just *poof* gone 🙁

  4. Sheesh! First my fave, Cottage Living gets the axe and now Domino! All I have left is Cookie and Lucky! What are some other good home design mags are there that aren’t for millionaires only?

  5. I’m furious, and so upset! This was my favorite magazine and I loved receiving it and read it slowly and carefully and was always inspired. I can’t even write I’m so mad. What are they thinking?

  6. I was so bummed to hear this news! I don’t know when they are planning on taking down the site, but I went and pulled all my photos from My Deco File and put them on my hard drive. I also plan to scour the website and save any neat stuff I see.
It’s official. All my favorite mags have been canceled: first Jane, then Blueprint, and now Domino! I’m so sad!

  7. i am so sad! i do not get it, how can they leave the publication world with one of the most unique magazines i have ever seen?!

  12. oh dear! does anyone know what happens to subscriptions? i got one for xmas and still havent received the first issue? are we going to lose out on our money?

  13. I can’t believe it! One of my favorite magazines – so sad…I wonder what will happen to our subscription also- sometimes they put the subscription to another magazine…soon find out 🙁

  14. I’m so sad now…I looooovvvveeee this magazine…I have a subscription but my face would always light up when I would see in it the store on its arrival day…oh wow…I feel like I’m losing something really dear to me….

  15. I’m so bummed to hear this news! I just got a subscription to the magazine as a Christmas gift. Any word on how they’re handling subscriptions? I couldn’t find any info on that. I really don’t get this decision on Conde Nast’s part – I know, ad sales are down, blah blah… but look at their roster of magazines. Domino is the only home mag left at Conde Nast. You mean to tell me they’re still keeping 2 golf magazines? 3 bridal magazines? 2 cooking magazines? I just hope Lucky isn’t next…

  16. regarding subscriptions ~ they usually replace the rest of your subscription with another magazine. or i think you can cancel it if you don’t want the substitute.
    -joy

  17. I’m a grown woman and I feel like I am going to cry(really). That magazine was such a treat for a stay-at-home mom who dreams of one day being organized and perfectly decorated. The staff was so talented and their take was always original and as well as clever. Bummer.
