The last two weeks of 2009 felt like reverse Halloween with boxes of sweet treats appearing on my doorstep with every ring of the doorbell. One of those said sweets was L.A. Burdick's french macaron assortment.

I enjoyed the harvest collection of macarons which feels just like fall sandwiched between two light layers of delicate macaron shells. The special assortment includes chocolate, cinnamon & pumpkin–a nice change from the typical macaron flavors I've been consuming lately. While a bit on the sweeter side, the shell's texture mixed with the cream filling is perfectly chewy and has just the right amount of density.

Final thoughts…4 out of 5 happy ladies!

  1. So pretty. I love L.A. Burdick chocolates. Especially the little mice! I’ll have to try the macarons!
