Located in Tribeca, Locanda Verde combines a rustic ambiance with casual, yet spectacular, Italian food. I had heard great things about the place and found it to live beyond my expectations. We loved everything we had including the Orecchiette {2nd photo, with homemade duck sausage, broccoli rabe and piave cheese}, Broccoli Rabe Sausage Grinder {3rd photo}, and their amazing homemade bread {top photo}.
Final thoughts…4.5 out of 5 happy ladies! If weather permits, sit outside for some great people watching.

These photos are making me crave Italian. To me, it’s such comfort food. Buon Appetito!
My boyfriend work in room service at the hotel locanda verde is attached to and can get steep discounts for dinner. Why we haven’t gone yet, I don’t know! I’ve heard such amazing things about it.

if you are ever in atlanta, swing by sublime doughnuts. it’s in midtown http://sublimedoughnuts.com/.
they have red velvet cake doughnuts and a boston cream doughnut called “a-town cream.” i think it opened in the last year or two because i didn’t know about until a friend told me while i was in beijing (i know where i’m going when i get off the plane!). what i really love is that the doughnut shop’s goal is to be someone’s last meal on death row. hilarious.
Lovely idea!
