Our "this & that" contributor, Bekka Palmer, took a trip to LA's Dwell on Design this past weekend to scope out the goods…here are her favorites from the show!
I had a great time at Dwell on Design this past weekend exploring the newest collections from some of my favorite home decor designers. I loved the UV coated boxes from Parvez Taj. With bright geometric patterns, the boxes are made for inside and out {top row}. Wallter introduced new planters at the show which come in three forms: wall mounted, hanging, or on a post and fit indoor succulents perfectly {2nd row, right}. The Dwell for Heath Ceramics tiles were even better in person {bottom row}. Available in three shapes with infinite pattern possibilities, the interactive table allowed everyone to experiment in pattern-making. Finally, the most stunning part of the trade show, by far, was the Dwell Outdoors
section {2nd row, left} tucked away in the back of the LA
Convention center…the hanging succulents felt like being in an indoor
jungle!
Based on all the blog/twitter mentions I’ve seen, it sounds like the hanging air plant “shower” was one of the stars of the show. Wish I could have seen it in person!
I REALLY want those tiles!! I was thinking it would be beautiful as a countertop!
Thank you for the update. I really wanted to go but had to cancel my travel plans after being ill. More please!!
I really admire the wall pockets. I’ve seen a lot of vintage breakable wall pockets for bouquets, but I love the idea of live plants growing on the wall, and the fact that the planters are not breakable.
colourful always make me powerful~~
