I've recently been stocking up and upgrading my new kitchen with more grown-up cooking tools and have been loving Williams-Sonoma's mix of classic and modern goods for the kitchen lately. While you can always find a Le Crueset pot or a KitchenAid Mixer, I'm all about the new Jamie Oliver pantry collection they're now carrying as well as some of the great items for kids. Their registry isn't limited to brides and grooms-to-be and would certainly be handy for showers, birthdays, and housewarmings.

So, we've partnered up with Williams-Sonoma for a very special giveaway. After signing up for the Williams-Sonoma registry, one lucky Oh Joy reader will be picked at random to receive a $150 gift card. Simply, 1) register with Williams-Sonoma and add your favorite items to your registry, then 2) Leave a comment letting us know you've registered and tell us your favorite item from the registry. {If you're already registered with Williams-Sonoma, simply add some additional items to your registry and let us know your fave.}

  1. I just set up a wedding registry yesterday, and it’s so addictive! The mister is out of town, but I can’t wait for him to get back so we can add more things together. But currently my favorite item is the Anniversary Bundt cake pan, something I would never fork over the cash for myself but desperately want.

  22. My birthday is coming up, so I had so much fun piecing together a birthday registry! I listed way more than $150 worth of product, but if I had to pick just one item I’d say the Cuisinart Pressure Cooker is definitely at the top of my list. My boyfriend vows that once we get a slow cooker, he’ll be the king of crock-pot dishes… since I almost exclusively cook dinner for us, I’d love the break! (Until I get obsessed with it, too, of course.)

It’s sort of counter-productive registering with Williams-Sonoma because you are immediately thwarted in your stoic, one-minded, practical, direct attempts to look up the kitchen items you need by the vast array of fabulous things you didn’t even know you wanted! I can’t help it though, because after I mooned over silpats and bench scrapers my fav Williams-Sonoma is still the (vastly out my price range) Le Creuset oval Dutch Oven. Such a beautiful beautiful piece of engineering. Swoon..

  38. I’ve always wanted to register for stuff…I think my personal favorite is the marble mortar and pestle – I doubt it’s as big as Julia Child’s, but I’ve always wanted one like hers.

  51. I set up a housewarming registry since we just moved into our new place. My favorite item in my registry is the Pillivuyt Cake Stand. It looks elegant, would dress up any cake and yet looks super easy to clean.

  55. Just put the Wüsthof Ikon Blackwood Honing Steel in my registry. I am an extremely amateur cook and a klutz in the kitchen, who is eager to become more comfortable. A chef friend of mine visited out apartment recently and gave me a good lecture about the state of our knives and the fact that my food will never be its best until our knives are at the best and their sharpest!

  108. I think my favorite thing on our wedding registry is the set of red spatulas. The contrast between the red top and the wooden handle make it a must-have for our quirky kitchen! And plus, they’re super useful for baking cookies and making granola bars : )

Another thing that would be useful to have is the Stainless-Steel Third Pan… I always make ice cream and then have nothing to store it in!

I love the classic yet modern and sometimes rustic aesthetic of William Sonoma. My favorite item in my registry is the red Le Creuset Dutch oven. A perfect combo of function and beauty. It’s a bit much to expect something so nice for a housewarming but a girl can dream! I also love the cow creamer because it’s fun – it’s often the simple things that make one happy. 🙂

  249. W-S was actually one of the first places we registered — I could walk around in there for hours looking at everything. I just added some more items to our registry —
    1) a large flexible nylon spatula
    2) a flexible slotted nylon spatula
    3) an all-clad stainless steel perforated spoon
    You can never have too many cooking utensils around 🙂
    My favorite item on our registry is probably the set of 3 stainless steel breading pans, because I love anything covered in bread crumbs 🙂
