As I was doing research for a client project the other day, I stumbled across these vintage Simplicity patterns. While I will probably never attempt to sew a garment on my own, I love the illustrations and color on these…and, of course, the amazing hairdos!
these are absolutely beautiful. I have a weakness for vintage fashion patterns. they seem to portray a delicate whimsy.
I love these patterns! I’ve stumbled across a lot of vintage patterns lately and I always imagine them in my closet. There’s something about the simplicity that draws me in!
I just got a whole load of ’50s-’70s patterns from my mother’s closet. I’m in the process of making them all! I love the drawings and the fact that you have to trust that your finished product will look anything like them. Sometimes yes, sometimes no!
So fun! I came across some of these at my mom’s recently as well! Might look cool framed and hung in just the right spot.
These bring back such lovely memories… my Mom used to sew from these patterns!
I’ve seen these patterns – Hey, did you notice the dress size + bust size… whoa! it’s quite a bit different now! I don’t remember thinking women were “broader” or “rounder” through the rest of their bodies?? bust & hip sizes now are so very different.
i would LOVE to get my hands on these patterns for some sewing of my own.

i had some vintage patterns a while back i see them from when i go to the thrift store i have to totally agree with you i wish i wouldve kept the one i had
