I can't
believe how quickly time flies! This month, we're celebrating our 5-year blog anniversary. It all started with this post and was initially a site for friends & family only. So we've definitely changed and grown a lot since then, and I never would have expected to still be blogging 5 years later. Whether you've been reading since the
beginning or just arrived here today, a HUGE, ginormous, monster thanks to all of you for reading and
supporting this blog and my work. I can honestly say that this blog
has been one of the best things things I've ever done {And let's not forget Beth who encouraged me to start it}. The chance to share my point of view with you, the people I've met and interacted with
{physically & virtually}, the amazing opportunities and experiences that I've encountered, and most importantly the friends I've made along the way, has meant the world to me in so many ways that I cannot express other than my deepest thanks. So, in celebration of 5 years, there will be lots of fun things in store this month. And
today, we're kicking it all off with a new contributor and a new
column coming up soon!

    i just celebrated my 100th post (don’t laugh :)) …. a tiny drop in the bucket compared to you, but i’ve enjoyed everything that little drop has brought me in this short time. i can only imagine how you must feel!

  50. Happy 5 years, Joy! I’ve been reading from the beginning and remember stumbling upon your blog while researching jewelry designer Linea Nervenkitt, whom you had done a post on. It was the beginning of me designing my own jewelry line and I was lucky enough to have the honor of creating pieces for your lovely bridesmaids. Thank you for 5 years of fun and inspiration!

  121. Congrats! Though I haven’t followed you from the very beginning, I have been a steady visitor and fan for the past few years. You never cease to provide a break in a hectic day or be a source of inspiration. You and a number of other bloggers out there have inspired me to start my own, a chronicle of raising my first puppy along with my husband. We bring her home in four weeks, and then the fun will begin! Congrats again!

I think i’ve been following your blog for the past 4+ years…i rem reading the entire archive when i first got to know your blog when it was abt 6 months old; because I was so captivated by all your posts!
