Last week, while in New York, I had a chance to stop by the studio of one of my favorite brands, Confetti System. Nick and Julie, a duo working as artists, stylists, and designers, met and became friends while working for Martha Stewart. Their shared love of communal celebration and craft-making brought them together to create a new system where memories are made and a spontaneous collaboration with the viewer is sparked. As you can imagine, their studio is a paradise of color, sparkle, and tissue paper…you can't help but feel totally happy and giddy while there. While I was there, Julie and Nick were finishing up a large scale installation for the American Ballet Theater at Lincoln Center {bottom right image} in collaboration with the artist management/design firm Hugo & Marie. Thanks Nick & Julie!

I adore the Confetti System duo! Beside last years Urban Outfitters holiday product line, do they sell there work/products retail/online?

I actually just stumbled upon their web site earlier this morning…then over here found these amazing images! It’s love, love, love at first sight!
I love getting a glimpse into their studio space. I saw them over on the Selby, too, not to mention the fact that I recognized some of their pieces behind a band I saw not too long ago. Thanks for sharing!
