I made sure to bring home some cake truffles from Momofuku's Milk Bar in New York this past weekend so I could be sure to capture them in their perfect miniature glory for you right here. These little guys are like baby cake offspring in perfectly round bite-sized proportions…perfect for when you want some cake, but not too much. My favorite flavors {shown above…but who am I kidding, I liked ALL of them!} include: Birthday Cake with rainbow cake crumble, sprinkles, vanilla frosting, Banana Cake with banana cream, hazelnut crunch, gianduja fudge, and Chocolate Malt Cake with malt fudge, malted milk crumbs, charred marshmallow. Wow. I wasn’t expecting that to pop up while i was scrolling down.
I am pretty much drooling over here. They remind me of a gourmet and sophisticated munchkin. ( dunkin donuts… sorry but I had to. As a kid, we had them every Sunday after church. It’s a kids fantasy.)
They are my FAVORITE! My husband is heading home as I type from a business trip in NYC and he always hits up Momofuku Milk bar for me. The truffles are always brought home, if available, and cookies lots of cookies! So yummy, yet another reason I can’t wait for him to get home.
