Trader-joes-chocolate-croissants

My current cravings seem to include sour & vinegary things like lemonade and pickles…or buttery chocolate things…like croissants! So I finally stocked up on a box from Trader Joe's after a recommendation from Julie. While I'd love them to have twice as much chocolate oozing out, they're flaky and buttery and offer that freshly baked feeling that I couldn't normally get at home. A morning feast! — Joy

  1. At least you now have an excuse to indulge! Let’s just hope your little one still allows you to eat all your favorites without getting sick…and Bob is willing to take the extra mile to satisfy those nightly cravings with whatever your heart desires 🙂

  2. Your snacks always look so tempting, but they’re much easier to resist when they’re something from a little bakery in LA. Now I may have to make a stop at my local Trader Joe’s!

  3. mmmm :). I love them! I used to get one every morning at a little cafe when I studied abroad in France. Thanks for the post, brings back beautiful memories.

  4. OMG these buttery chocolate goodness are my go-to items when i’m hosting a brunch. looks so fancy and taste amazing out of the oven – but oh so easy! Glad to know we think alike!
Thanks again for the blog workshop last night.

  5. Hi Leah,
Theyre in the frozen section (near the desserts) so you leave them out overnight to rise and then bake in the morning so theyre hot and fresh!

  6. Joy, although they’re a bit of an indulgence in terms of price, have you tried the croissants (plain and chocolate) from William Sonoma? They’re delish and make great gifts for fellow foodies.

  15. ici en France, their name is “Pain au chocolat” and it is a usual after school snack but i do agree that they match particuliary with a nice cup of coffee 🙂

  16. When I was pregnant TJ Chocolate Croissants were one of my cravings. I have to say though I was a bit disappointed when I went to make one ( having not read the box ahead of time )that they needed to be left out overnight before baking. All I could dream about that night were the croissants.
FYI apparently these croissants are either the same as the ones from William Sonoma or an exact dupe so if anyone tells you to try the WS ones, save your money and stick with the ones from TJs.
