Who swallowed a watermelon? I sure do feel like I did! It's been a super HOT week here in LA {up to 99 degrees the other day}, so I've been snacking on coconut water and ice cold watermelon to stay hydrated. I'm looking forward to cooler temperatures this weekend and hope you're all enjoying a nicer transition to fall wherever you are…have a great weekend! — Joy

  1. Your dress is very beautiful (so is your cute ‘little’ belly) , love how it looks like velvet, though, I guess, it’s not!
    Enjoy your weekend, girl! xoxo

  2. love it! when i was very pegnant, like yourself, some guy walked passed me in a parking lot and said to his friends, “woah! she looks like she just swallowed a watermelon!” it was hilarious. thanks for reminding me of it. 🙂

  3. Aren’t you glad real watermelons don’t kick your guts out? :o)
Again…too cute for words…I’m gonna miss your preggo pics, but I’m sure gorgeous baby pictures will do nicely as a replacement. :o)

  4. Thanks so much everyone for your sweet comments! 😉

  5. ok, this is obviously affecting you much, much more than me but, i’m kinda freaking out about how far along you are already – how does time truly fly so fast? it feels (literally) like only yesterday that you were being a fearless leader, talking about product lines, and not even showing!
life is such a damn beautiful thing…

  6. Joy – you look fab. I’m all about the maxi dress these days as well! And in taking preggers photos, I finally figured out what I think you knew all along! Husband = wow, I look fat, short, bloated, you name it. Tripod = I can do what I want and the photos turn out so much better!

  7. You look so beautiful and proud of the bump! I remember the feeling -there’s nothing better! Until you get to hold your own baby of course! I had a quite similar watermelon belly one year ago too. I love following your pregnancy throught these cute photos! Your blog is a great inspiration all in all as well. All the best for the rest of your pregnancy Joy! Eagerly following it from here in Finland 🙂

  8. You look so cute!! I’m 33, almost 34 weeks too and LA has been unbearable. I am in Long Beach on a second floor apt with no air conditioning. It has been so much nicer the last two days. Hopefully it stays this way! Congrats.

  9. your intro tickled my funny bone. I simply love the thought of using – “Who Swallowed the Watermelon” – as the title to your sure-to-be bestseller Mommy book or newly launched Mommy line. …shorten to ‘watermelon’ {tagline ‘enjoy all the juicy bits’} and the design/marketing possibilities are endless.
    best – d.

  10. Did someone forget to tell you to chew on the watermelon before you swallow…. I’m 22 weeks now and as my belly is growing now I’m worried about 8-9 month. Already warned by man that he’ll have to push me up the stairs by than. Enjoy your last trimester!

  11. Hi Megan,
    Thanks so much 😉
Well, I can definitely recommend being active and exercising regularly before you get pregnant. It helps a lot..not only to help not gain too much weight but also, youll be more motivated to stay active during pregnancy which is so helpful!

  12. You look amazing at 33 weeks! Love the way you turned your belt around. 🙂 I’m gonna have to try that. Hehe. Also love the gold polka dots on your wall!
