Last weekend, we spent a few days in Santa Barbara for a little babymoon and early 5 year anniversary getaway. The weekend was amazing, relaxing, and just what we needed to spend some time together before getting ready to welcome our little lady next month. The best part was that unlike my usual vacations, I made no plans of what we'd do, where we'd eat, and every day we just decided on the spot! It was a welcome change from my usual mindset. I loved lounging by the pool at Bacara, floating in the pool {weightlessness at last!}, popping into town to stop by the Farmer's Market and La Super-Rica, getting room service when we just didn't feel like sitting at a table, eating cookies in bed, and just hanging with my husband in the peace and quiet… — Joy

That silhouetted picture of your bump is priceless. So cute!

La super rica is my favorite favorite mexican place in santa barbara, good for you for finding it!!
sounds like a lovely get away 🙂
incredible!!
Aww, a babymoon. How cute is that?! Santa Barbara is always the perfect place for an escape. SO beautiful.
Ah, I love hanging with my husband too! Sounds like a wonderful time!
YUM La SuperRica! Did you go to the French Press? They make the BEST mocha.
that looks and sounds just perfect – think I have to suggest a babymoon for my husband and me too – a good way to wait for the baby to come (next month for me too)
Hi Heidi,
Yes, do it! Such a nice time to be together before your little family gets bigger! 😉 Congrats to you!

Sounds (and looks) lovely!
And so important to do AFTER baby arrives too:) My husband and I had a get away (our babies are 5 and 2) and it was bliss.
I recognized that pool view! My husband and I (though we live in Santa Barbara already) threw all of our vacation money into a stay at the Bacara for our honeymoon- rather than traveling elsewhere. Totally worth it. We were treated like rock stars (bet you were, too!) and enjoyed such a mellow and blissful stay. Only thing to remember when staying at a place like this… keep a good stash of tip money for all the Bacara crew who jump out of the woodwork to assist you with anything and everything. So happy to know you had a lovely time.
