Photographer, food lover, and my good friend Bonnie Tsang knows how to eat, and she's become one of my food partners in crime. So, I asked Bonnie to share her own version of my "currently snacking on" posts… — Joy

Today, I'm currently snacking on…scoops of ice cream sprinkled with roasted ground coffee and sea salt. I started with Ugandan Vanilla Bean by Jenis Splendid Ice Cream and Lemon Verbena Vanilla Bean by Carmela Ice Cream. I recently received a bag of Mbeya Mshikamano beans by Handsome Coffee Roasters which has a nice roasted flavor and goes really well with the vanilla ice cream. Sometimes, if I want a little extra kick, I might even grind some black pepper over it!

  1. jeni’s is from columbus, ohio. M and I have watched her start from a kiosk in our public market downtown and in to a nationwide phenomenon. we absolutely love it. especially the salty caramel. great post!

  2. This looks amazing! I never thought to put coffee on ice cream like that. I love coffee ice cream though, so I’ll have to try this alternative!
