These Nyonya porcelain vessels by Hans Tan Studio are subjected to a surface treatment which overlays the original multi-colored pattern with a new dotted pattern. The technique is an industrial re-interpretation of the traditional resist-dyeing technique used to dye fabric patterns. I'm loving the pattern on pattern and how the vessels are treated like textiles… — Joy
Those are beautiful! I wonder if you could create a similar look with thrift store china, contact paper, and white spray paint. I might have to investigate.
What a cool technique, and effect!
OH my I love this too. Such detail!

These are so beautiful looking! I love the colors… It’s quite an interesting technique.
These are gorgeous! I was a ceramics lab geek in college took classes for four years!), I’ve seen all sorts of amazing glazing and firing techniques but never anything like this. I want the pedestal!
I am not going to lie. As a nyonya from Malaysia, my heart stopped. This is akin to defacing a Picasso.
Oohhh these are to die for!!!
They would look sooo precious on a nursery bookshelf decoration (high up, out of reach of course : )
