During a recent meeting, Bonnie came across Palihouse in West Hollywood and suggested we come by for a ladies lunch {which I gladly obliged}. Known as a luxury hotel with long-stay options, it's both classic and stylish…kind of like if the Ace Hotel had an older brother who was a professor at Dartmouth.

There are so many different areas to hang out and enjoy a meal at Palihouse. Despite the numerous tufted chairs and couches, I made myself pretty comfortable sitting on the floor pretending I was hanging out in my own living room.

Serving classic brasserie-style fare and comfort food, my favorite was the Apricot Chicken Pot Pie. It was warm, cozy, and savory with a pop of sweetness from the apricots.

I love the urban lodge feel of the space—a little American library, a litte bit French café. I could literally hang out here all day…read one of their books, bring a laptop and, or catch up with friends over drinks at sunset… — Joy

  1. Oh gosh, I am wanting that apricot chicken pie so badly, Joy!
I honestly love seeing all these places where you and Bonnie go to eat. Palihouse seems amazing, and you’re looking gorgeous as usual.

  2. Joy – would love to know where your pants are from! I’ve been searching for something similar. Thanks and adore your blog 🙂

  3. As much as I love all of the posts on your blog, I think that the oh joy {eats} series is my hands down favorite. I get to enjoy amazing photography and imagine eating delicious meals while sitting in some beautiful spaces. The pseudo- “window shopping” of your closet is pretty fun too. 🙂 I’m adding all of these places to my go to list for when I visit family in LA!
