a petite story…

Oh-joy-anthropologie-magazine

In celebration of their new Petites collection, I was recently included in a story by Anthropologie about my petite style and some of my favorite looks from fancy to everyday! I was given freedom to have the photos shot anywhere, and my own home felt just right for showcasing some of my favorite pieces and how I'd wear them within the context of my real life. You can read the full story and see more details on the pieces I wore in their magazine {it's currently featured their homepage too—eep!} and see a few of my favorite outtakes from the shoot below!

The scenes included an ice cream party for entertaining, a snippet from a weekend moment while hanging a mobile, and a play date with my favorite little lady. It was so fun being featured beside fellow petite pal Dallas, too! Thanks so much to Anthropologie for having me and to Bonnie for her beautiful photos! — Joy

  1. Congrats on the feature Joy! So excited to see a petite spotlight featuring my favorite store + one of my favorite bloggers. 🙂

  2. I saw you on the website (and The Magazine) yesterday. The photos were gorgeous (of course) but the shot with you and Ruby was drool worthy. Too cute you two are!

  3. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again–you’re a-doooo-ra-ble! Can you tell me more about the cute butterflies mobile? Did you buy it? Make it? I want one!!

  4. Thanks Nary!
Its from Pottery Barns kids from like 3 or 4 years ago. I wasnt even close to having a baby at that time, but it was so pretty, I had to get it.

  6. Hi Andree,
Thanks! Its from Restoration Hardware from a couple years ago. I actually just sold it because its not very child friendly!

  7. i love your hair with that colorblock outfit. the whole looks is adorable. 🙂 your house is the perfect place for a shoot too. so pretty.

  8. I am looking at buying that jacket you have on the cream one. How do you like it? I don’t like things to baggy on me and some of the reviews said it was boxy…just thought I would ask you;)

  9. Yay! Congrats! My girlfriend and I made the drive to Fashion Island for the trunk show, and I ended up getting one of the dresses for my grandma’s birthday party next week. Since we both have little ones and live in LA, we couldn’t make your event that evening but were there in spirit! Hope it was a blast!

  10. Hi Joy, you looks gorgeous in those dresses. I think we’re about the same height, could I ask what size did you wear for those dresses please? Thanks heaps 🙂

  11. Hi Daphne,
In the orange colorblock I was a size 0P. In the lace dress, that one runs small and I was a 4P. I normally wear a 0 in regular Anthro sizes, so Id say most were pretty much the same in Petite size numbers minus the lace dress.
    Thanks!
    Joy

  12. Love the photos! By the way, in the photos of you and Ruby (so adorable!!),where is the necklace from? You mentioned it’s child-friendly…is it a teething necklace or just a super cute necklace that a kid won’t break? 🙂 my little one will be teething soon, so I’m wondering what options are out there for cute wearable teething things!
