Happy Holidays, friends! Whatever holiday you celebrate, I hope it's a wonderful time of love and merriment for you and your family. As we bow out for the year, I wanted to share a couple photos (and some outtakes) from our family holiday card, shot by Max Wanger and Our Labor of Love. Since this was our first holiday card photo, we decided to do something fun and festive! Ruby was hungry and cranky at the beginning of our session, but as soon as this silver tinsel came out…bam, she was loving it and could have played in it for hours (well, maybe 20 minutes)!

Oh, and I had to share this recent video of Ruby walking down the street after we took our family photos. This last month has been so fun as we've watched her turn into this tiny mobile person. This little girl is, indeed, my favorite Christmas present yet!

Have an amazing holiday and New Year's everyone! Thanks so much for following along over here this year, and I look forward to sharing more with you in 2013. I'll be taking a blog break next week, so I'll see you back here on January 2!

P.S. If you're looking for any last-minute holiday inspiration, see how I create A Colorful Christmas tree, try my new favorite holiday cookie recipe or make some sweet pop-up placecards for the dinner table.

{Photos by by Max Wanger and Our Labor of Love. My dress is by Tracy Reese, belt is vintage, shoes are from a past season at Anthropologie, and hair pouf is by Ban.do; Bob's tie is by J.Crew and denim blazer from Mr. Porter; Ruby's dress is Jason Wu for Target and pink tights from Gap.}

  1. Look at that walking! It’s been amazing to see her grow over the past year; she really is becoming her own person. She’s also the most stylish toddler I’ve ever seen. 🙂
    Merry Christmas, Cho family!

  2. SO adorable! I love the stage when little ones start to walk and have to put their arms up for balance – it’s so cute!
    Happy holidays to you and your family!

  3. All the best for the festive family! The middle photo of her is so precious. Thank you, Joy, for inspiring me and so many others throughout the year. Your blog is a wonderfully positive place and I look forward to hearing and seeing more from you in 2013.
    Merry Christmas!

  4. I REMEMBER that you were pregnant and booom she has became a little lady!! The cutest baby! How this time is passing by, good lord!

  5. Merry Christmas, Joy!!! I’m so excited about 2013! I’ve been following your blog, but never posted a comment… I received your book Blog Inc. as an early Christmas present and I’m looking forward to next year. I’m going to have lots of fun and my blog is going to be better!!!
    Thanks for your help and inspiration! Happy 2013!!

  6. You guys look so cute! I saw the dress Ruby is wearing a while back and had to restrain myself from buying it for my little girl without any occasion in mind. It looks perfect with the grown up outfits, and you guys don’t even match this time!

  7. I received your book for Christmas and couldn’t put it down while on vacation over the holiday. Thanks for all of the helpful tips as my best friend and I are setting up a joint blog to feature our new jewelry line!

  8. Hi Lisa!
    There was a couple after us who took their portrait with their dogs and it was SO cute! The dogs were also so well-behaved!
