This is what happens when you let a toddler go into a bouncy house (supervised by me, of course) at a kid's birthday party. All the big kids let her have "baby time" and waited outside so she could play in there for a few minutes alone without getting trampled on. She fell about 478 times while attempting to jump, but she absolutely loved it and even cried big raindrop tears when it was time for the bigger kids to go back in without her.

Have a great weekend guys! I hope you get a few moments of joy in whatever your version of a bouncy house may be…

  1. This is soo sweet! I’m sure the whole thing was hilarious to watch her falling all over the place but not getting hurt of course. She is such a beauty! One day she’ll be old enough to play with the big kids.

  2. My children adore bouncy houses too – my son is finally old enough to be in with the “big kids” and I thought he was going to pass out he was so excited when they invited him in with them.

  3. I was a nanny when I first graduated from college, and the kids (3 girls under 4) had a miniature bounce house that could be blown up in the yard or in the basement. It seems like an extravagant purchase- but that bounce house saved my sanity on many a rainy day! Not mention the fact that it’s a great pre naptime activity— A good 20 minutes of jumping wears a toddler right out!

  4. oh. my. word.
her expression says it all. i feel you ruby! i love bouncy castles too!
and that last picture… it’ll make me smile for the rest of the day 🙂

  5. Aww, I love Ruby posts. My 15 month old loves bounce houses, too. I went to a few indoor playgrounds recently (Under The Sea, Awesome Playground) and there were no kids in the bounce houses so my daughter just went crazy!

  6. oh gosh this is sweet. i heard my little man giggle for the first time last night and it was the sweetest thing in the world. (i cried like a big baby) who knew playing fetch with the doggies is what would set him off?! laughing like a hyena, that one.
