P.S. We leave for France in three weeks! I'm getting excited (the best cheeses and pastries and shopping) but also nervous (a 10 hour plane ride with a toddler)…eek!
This picture may be the cutest thing I’ve seen all year. And I love her shoes. You have a really stylish toddler on your hands. Have a great weekend!

my oldest was about 21 months when we traveled to Paris, Rome and Florence. it was challenging, but the locals were so kind to us. oh and i love ruby’s shoes!!
My husband and I just took that trip this summer with our 2yr old. My word of advice is snack and lots of it, a fully prepped IPad with her favorite movies, games, apps, etc, and loads of patients! lol
What a cute photo! Love their expressions when they are in flight!! I just took a toddler from Australia to NYC. Do you have the bassinet? Try for it even if Ruby is too big… their feet can dangle out the ends during naptime. You do the cross USA flight a ton, right? It’s really no different. Stickers are a must. Transfer the ice cubes from one cup to another. Tape seems to occupy them for long periods of time.
Oh man, this might be my favorite photo of Ruby. My daughter is just a couple months younger – best of luck on the flight – I can’t imagine either! You’ll do great!
love the photo- super cute and all types of happy!
Paris, how fun!!!!! you’re going to have a blast, good luck with your flight, we’ll be travelling to asia year end with a toddler nearly 2 too, EEEEEEEKKKKK! maybe you can share some tips after the trip? i’ve been mentally preparing for months now.
Fun France 🙂
You’ll do fine! Flying Chicago-Amsterdam by myself ugh..2 boys 2yrs and 5.
My tips:
Golden books are thin to pack and a little lolly pop as a special treat never hurt anyone 🙂
Gel stickers for the window seat are fun too. Coloring is great and some fun apps on the iPad won’t hurt either.
Gripe water in her water cup works for me too. Seems to calm my very active ones a bit when they should get some shut eye.
Really like your blog!
yay for celebrations of life. my blog is all about celebrating the bigs && littles. thanks for this sweet reminder, joy http://breakfast4two.blogspot.com/
Please let us know how bringing along your LO changes the way you tour Paris. Our daughters are the same age and I’d love to know how you find the most romantic city in the world avec p-nut. WE went just before we found out we were pregnant and I plan on going again with our kids (12yo too) before having another baby.
Bon Chance and happy eating!
pure JOY!! <3 Love this photo. And yayyy so jealous of your trip to France! We were planning to go in March but I think we are headed to Singapore (!) in January, so we will postpone France for another year. Let me know if you need any Paris recs; my parents go every year. xo
