For part 2 of my trip to London, I'm sharing some of the things I did in Shoreditch. Known as the hipster area of London, to me it feels a little urban and a little gritty (in a cool way), and filled with great indie shops and cafes.
Our first stop for a cozy breakfast on a rainy morning in Shoreditch was Leila's Shop. It was a simple spot with hearty and filling items that felt like they were made from a wonderful local farm.
London has a lot of boutique/cafe-in-one type of stores. I loved this clothing shop, Aida, which happened to have a cafe with barista and coffee bar right in the front!
More beautiful shops and storefronts in London…
(Above: That Flower Shop, Lovage at the Ace Hotel, cool mailboxes of an apartment building, Labour & Wait, Luna & Curious, and Franze & Evans)
With the on and off rain, we had lots of little snacks as we sought shelter during the rain storms…

After a fun morning in Shoreditch, we decided to take an afternoon break over high tea at Sketch in the Piccadilly area of London. Sketch is known for being a more modern and less formal version of high tea. It's super quirky decor and delicious little bites were a fun end to the day before I crashed and needed a nap!
P.S. see Part 1 in Notting Hill right here…

Sorry- this is not related to your London trip (which I am very jealous of by the way- it looks like you had an amazing time!), but do you plan to make a Pippit social medial button, or at least the option?

Ah, Shoreditch was my old neighbourhood in London, well Spitalfields more specifically. I see Labour and Wait moved. I always thought about buying my dustpan there but never could quite justify the cost! Time for Tea is hilarious, they never seemed to be open, I think I managed to go there once in 4 years. My amateur orchestra used to perform in the church down the road. Ahhh, makes me heartsick for my old city.
Looks like you had a blast! I’m taking notes for when I get my chance to check out London.
