We recently had a debate in the office about wire baskets and how functional they are or aren't! My life is full of moments where I need to put away a bunch of toys or magazines really fast and pretend my house isn't a mess! So, I personally love them because they offer a spot to quickly store stuff and the wire version allows me to see what's in the basket from far away. Today, we're showing you an easy way to update a simple wire basket to make it a bit more colorful and chic! Here's how…

You'll need:

wire basket (similar – ours was from Michaels, but they don’t have it online)

– yarn

– scissors

Here's how:

1.  Loop yarn once around a wire square and tie a double knot to secure.

2. Continue to wrap yarn around the wire until you’ve filled the entire square.

3. To finish, secure with another double knot, weaving the end of the yarn under the last loop you made around the wire, tighten, and trim the ends.
