With the chilly and rainy weather we’ve had in Los Angeles lately, I’ve been curling up with a throw blanket more than usual. Today, we wanted to show you an easy way to spruce up even a basic throw blanket with this jumbo embroidered striped edging. Here’s how…
You’ll need:
– throw blanket (similar)
– yarn
– scissors
Here’s how:
1. Thread the yarn through the needle making a single strand. Leave about a 3 inch tail. Make a knot at the other end of the yarn.
2. Begin a simple loop stitch to start your striped edge.
3. To change colors, knot the end of the yarn on the underside of the blanket and repeat with the next color until you’ve reached the end!

Props shown / Modernica planter, Dwell Magazine for Target shelf (similar), Jeff Mindell print, Target geoburst (similar), Urban Outfitters pillow, Modernica chair, Eric Trine plant stand (now Amigo Modern), and wall hanging by Maryanne Moodie.
Such a simple idea yet with stunning results!! I can’t wait to give this a try!
