While we're posting gift guides a plenty right now, I also wanted to share things that you could make for a loved one this holiday season. This DIY could take a bit longer than most of our usual projects depending on how detailed you want to get. However the result is seriously so beautiful and makes an inexpensive sweater look far fancier…like a beautiful vintage find or much pricier version. For someone who would love a completely one-of-a-kind piece to wear, you'll want to make this stat! Here's how…
You'll need…
– sweater (orange, blush, lavender)
– flat back pearls (multi-color, white)
– gem glue
– bead tweezers
Here's how…
1. Decide on the general area you want to place the pearls…around the collar, at the pockets, or near the shoulders, for example.
2. Use tweezers to make it easier to pick up the pearls and add a dab of glue onto the back. Then, press the onto sweater and let dry for 1 hour.
It took these sweaters from totally simple to totally amazing!

I love this idea so, so much! I’ve actually been looking for an embellished sweater, but it would be so much more fun to make my own. I love the idea of adding pearls in different colors to make it stand out a bit more.

I loved this idea!!! Will be doing it once summer is over! xoxo from Argentina!
Lovely idea I thought of it , specials when you are cheap as me and all those cute sweaters are very expensive ❤️
This is so lovely! Thanks for sharing. How do yo recommend washing these with the glue and pearls? Hand wash most likely?
Hi Carley!
Hand wash or on delicate cycle in a garment bag.
Thanks!

Thank you for your information. This is the best idea. You can make a sweater into a unique dress.
Such a fun project!
How pretty and SO very DIY-able. Christmas gifts to be given a tad late. With something this beautiful, I’m certain no one will mind.
Thanks Susie!
