Ombre Nail Art with Olive & June / Oh Joy!

Ombre Nail Art with Olive & June / Oh Joy!

Last week we showed you how to achieve the perfect confetti nail art, and today, we're back with Olive & June to show you how to master ombre nails! (It's easier than it looks, I promise!) Inspired by our Oh Joy For CALPAK Sunset suitcases, they'll bring those vacation vibes with you wherever you go…

You'll need…
– makeup sponge
– your choice of polish colors (We used OPI Need Sunglasses?, Essie Gel Couture Looks To Thrill, Nails Inc. Lexington Garden, Regents Place, and Queens Garden!)
– topcoat polish (We used Essie Gel Couture!)

Here's how…
1. Start with two base coats of white (we used Essie Blanc). Let it dry completely. Fun tip: Paint a thin layer of Elmer's glue around the base and sides of your cuticles to make cleanup easier!

2. On a clean makeup sponge, paint horizontal strips of your desired colors along one side of the sponge.

3. Line up the painted area of the sponge with the base of your nail bed and press in a gentle rolling motion to stamp the gradient onto your nails.

4. Repeat on each nail refilling the sponge with nail polish as needed.

5. Allow the polish to dry completely and then peel off the dried Elmer's glue. Or, using a Q-tip and nail polish remover, clean up the areas around your fingernails. Finally, apply the top coat.
