We're halfway through October, which means Halloween is right around the corner! Over the last few years, we've shown you different Oh Joy! versions of painted pumpkins. It's a great way to get creative, add some color to the traditional black and orange holiday decor, and requires a lot less clean-up than making jack-o-lanterns. Here's a look back and some inspiration for this year's pumpkin decorating for you…
Art Pumpkins — We painted pumpkins inspired by famous artists. We chose Matisse, Warhol, Calder, Monet, and Pollock, but you can pick any classic artist to be inspired by!
Oh Joy-Inspired Pumpkins — Last year, we got inspired by a few of our whimsical Oh Joy! designs, from fun black and white prints to colorful polka dots. You can find inspiration ANYWHERE and use that to create a pumpkin all of your own! We covered the stem in gold glitter for a does of sparkle.
This year, we took inspiration from the patterns on our Oh Joy! for BAND-AID Brand Adhesive Bandages! They're super colorful and abstract so the whole family can have fun making them. This is a fun way to draw shapes onto a pumpkin for a younger kid or toddler to help paint in…almost like paint by numbers!

These are all so cute! I love the bright colors that you use!

Love the look!

Hi! We use a mix! You can find faux ones at craft stores that can be used year after year and repainting again and again!
