Pattern Adventures: Oh Joy Wears Stars!

Shine bright, shine far, be a STAR! For this month's Pattern Adventures, I'm showing you how to wear stars in bright ways. I know they can skew youthful, so I'm showing you three outfits that play with scale, texture, and color in sophisticated and really fun way. From a little sparkle to a lot, here they are…

Pattern Adventures: Oh Joy Wears Stars!

Stars and Stripes — This is a fun mix of cozy, glam, and colorful all in one. I love this star sweater because it has stars in different sizes and colors and has fun asymmetric placement. I paired it with a colorful stripe skirt to steer it away from July 4th vibes, and then glitter Mary Jane shoes for a dose of glam.

Wish Upon A Star — This look is perfect for crisp fall days! It's still sparkly and fun but in autumnal hues. I brought in some sparkle with the sequin sweater and more texture with suede booties. The jeans have a fun allover small star print. I'd wear this outfit to work or around on the weekends. It's just the right mix of comfy, casual, and fun.

Shine Bright — I went all out with this sequin-glitter-star outfit! It's definitely one to wear when you want to shine. Because there is so much going on with this outfit, I wanted a simple tee. So we bought an inexpensive white t-shirt and painted it! Then I paired it with a jumbo sequin skirt that is SO fun to wear, glitter booties for extra sparkle, and a peach jacket on top to contrast with all that sparkle.
