Happy Monday! We went under the sea today for this fun kid's bedroom! If your kid loves the ocean or aquatic life, this is a really creative and imaginative way to bring it to life in their very own space. Here's how we did it…

1. Play it up! For this theme, we went all in. We painted the walls blue like water and even used a blue rug, too. We mixed in lots of different shades to add depth and variation. To compliment all the blue, we added in fun pops of orange and kept the furniture a neutral white.

2. Bring in fun artwork and accent pieces! We continued to add fun little nods to the theme, like a playful message on the letter board, fun sea creature stuffed animals, sea-themed artwork, shark busts for the wall, and super fun nautical sheets.

3. Balance it out! When styling with a theme, you could make EVERYTHING in the room fit perfectly, but that gets a little too matchy-matchy. So, we like to add in small doses of other elements throughout the room to help balance it out. The trick is to make sure that these additional pieces don't detract from the theme, but play off it in subtle ways. For example, not every single piece of artwork or decorative object is related to the ocean. Some are abstract paintings and others are fun graphics, but they all fit within the color scheme.

What do you think? Would you style your kid's room with an "Under the Sea" theme?
