Happy JUNE! We’re paying tribute to summer with this month’s Color Adventures theme: bright colors! Bright colors are nothing new to this team over here, but we thought it was the perfect month to really play it up and show you how we bring it into both home and fashion. Check out this kids’ room that we’re loving…

We styled this shared kids’ room with fun Studio DIY X Kip & Co. fruit sheets and used them as the overall inspiration for the space.

Since these sheets are the inspiration for the space, we used them on both beds. Using the same sheet set on both beds helps make the room feel cohesive and gives it a definite (but subtle) theme. We then played up the bright color scheme with lots of colorful pillows. 

When styling with super bright colors, it can get to be too much very quickly, so we painted the walls a sot pastel. This gave us a canvas to have some fun with the bright accessories (pillows, blankets, and the hot pink chair off in the corner!).

This rug is great because it brings in lots of texture, color, and ties the space together. It also hides any messes fairly well so it’s perfect with kids. And if you like that bright striped chair, stay tuned! We have a DIY for it coming your way soon…
