I love September for its cooler, crisp weather! Transitioning between summer to fall is one of my favorites to dress for because I can wear flowy skirts, open toed shoes, AND layer cozy sweaters and cardigans. So here are three of my favorite outfits for those in-between days all in this month's Color Adventures theme…jewel tones! In case you aren't familiar, jewel tones are richly saturated hues named for gems, like sapphire blue, ruby red, amethyst purple, citrine yellow, and emerald green. Come check it out…

Glitter Glam — This outfit has the best of both worlds! It's comfy, cozy and chic…all while having a dose of sparkle. Pairing chunky cardigans with dresses is one of my favorite ways to extend the life of my spring and summer wardrobes, and this cardigan is great because it has such a fun texture.

Punchy Purple — Would you guess that my jacket is actually a wrap dress?! Another great way to extend the life of your summer wardrobe is to layer it in unexpected ways, like turning a wrap dress into a lightweight jacket. For this outfit, I created a fun color-block ensemble with lots of rich gem stone colors in emerald, cobalt, and plum!

Flirty Floral — Here's one of my new favorite outfits: a comfy sweater tucked into a flowy floral skirt and paired with hot pink heels! Mixing bright colors with more traditional autumnal hues is a nice way to carry-over all those punchy summer colors into the fall! Sweaters with bell sleeves are also great for fall because they're sophisticated while still being warm and cozy.
