We're back with our second Color Adventures post of the month, and this time we're showing you how to style a dining room in my new favorite color ;). We layered lots of tonal purple shades to create a relaxing, inviting, and calming space. Check it out…
The rug! We brought in a bright lilac rug by Block Shop to give the room a bright pop of color! It has fun shapes to bring in a bit of pattern and fringe for a dose of texture. Pro tip: Add a thick rug pad underneath cotton rugs to help give them more structure and no-slip!
Greens! You might be thinking…this is a post about purple! But when looking at a focal color, we also want to show you colors that accent them. So we brought in lots of green for this space because it mixes so magically with purple. The deep green dining table compliments all the different purple shades, balances out the space, AND adds an air of sophistication.
The gold metal chairs also help bring some sophistication to the space!
More purple! Finally, the magic of a color like purple is that it goes from light to dark, reddish to bluish, and therefore there are so many versions of it. We loved mixing violet, plum, and lavender here to create a rich and happy space!
