Are you ready for the Color Adventure of the month and the last theme of the year!? For December, we're decking the halls with all things RED! Red has always been one of my least favorite colors because it feels so intense. So many people LOVE red, though, so I'm trying to get on board! So today, we're showing you how to style with the bold and bright color without letting it completely steal the spotlight from everything else in the room. Check it out…
A little red goes a long way! The trick when styling with a color that can be overbearing is to bring in accent pieces in that color. Even though we only used red in small doses, it still reads as a predominately red room. Julia, our Creative Content Director says, "Just like adding a red lip to any outfit, a pop of red will seal the deal." Pair it with another softer color to balance it out, like blush, and you've got a great color scheme!
Get festive in alternate ways! Since red is one of the colors of the seasons, we incorporated a majority of it in the room as tree decor. We added lots of bright pops of red on the tree with these large magnolia flowers and a red bow on top.
Add in neutrals. We kept the artwork in the room more neutral (with lots of white), but they also incorporate small amounts of red in them to tie in with the theme.
What do YOU think? Comment below to tell us how you feel about red!
