I visited Asrai Garden while in Chicago under the recommendation from a reader {thanks Rose!} and my friend Vanessa…and fell in LOVE. This flower and gift shop topped the list of my favorite shops visited while in Chicago. Gorgeous flowers mixed with home, beauty, and gift items sit so well within an airy space that also has just the right mix of vintage wall decor and found objects with modern accessories and fresh florals. Seriously, LOVED it. Asrai doesn’t currently have a website, but you can see a bit more over at Apartment Therapy Chicago.

A few more Chicago favorites: Greer (stationery), Paper Doll (stationery), Crust (organic pizza), Jayson Home & Garden (home & garden decor), Bongo Room (brunch), Hot Chocolate (brunch), Jade (clothing & jewelry), Hot Doug’s (hot dogs), and Lou Malnati’s (pizza).
Great find! Looks so cool! Makes me wanna plan a trip out to Chicago! Thanks!
I love Asrai Gardens! Elizabeth created the floral arrangements for my wedding. She did an amazing job. She’s got a great eye for color and shape. Her arragements are natural yet very modern.
Did you manage to get a piece of quiche from Sweet Thang?
It’s so strange – I’m not American, and the images I had always received of Chicago gave me the impression of somewhere grey and windy, without much to recommend it, but lately people have been raving about the place to me with so much enthusiasm that I think I may be forced to alter my (hitherto admittedly completely uninformed) postion…
YAY! I’m so glad you went to Hot Doug’s! It’s the best.
so glad you made it to lou malnati’s, except now I can’t stop thinking about it!
