{san diego shop}: architectural salvage

I took a little tour of Kettner Blvd. in San Diego's Little Italy on Friday with my pal Kelley. Architectural Salvage is located in a developing part of Little Italy right under the prime flight path as planes look like they are literally 300 ft. above your head! The shop contains great old, vintage, and restored pieces from old doors, to chandelier beads, to glass doorknobs and more. I wish I could replace every doorknob in my house with these! 1. So neat! I love all of your San Diego posts because it shows all of the hidden gems that I didn’t know existed in my own home town I grew up in! This store looks amazing! I’m definitely stopping by next week on my trip there!

  2. Architectural Salvage looks so fun. I know I’d be in there for hours! Next time I’m in San Diego, that’s where I’ll be! Thanks for sharing this.

  3. I would love to visit that shop. Too bad I’m in the Bay Area and not San Diego, but I will keep this place in mind for the next time I’m in the area.

  4. Oh Architectural Salvage is so cool! Mixture, the store Leigh suggested, is really nice too, mostly furniture and home decor but they have lots of little knick knacks and stuff too. I live right around the corner and Little Italy has great stores. I’m so glad you moved here!

  5. You are so lucky to live in San Diego now! There is so much to explore. I went there for a visit in February and fell in love. Although, I am from Los Angeles and it is not TOO far away. Great pictures!

  6. OH MY GOSH! Thank you for posting this!! I wanted all things vintage for my wedding and I was letting the idea go because of the whole bidding and spending way more than I want on ebay! I live in San Diego so this store would be my ultimate decor one stop shop for my wedding. Thanks for the post!

  7. Arch. Salvage is the rad-est place EVER!! Wish I still lived in SD to pick up some good finds… and wish I could go with Ms. Kelley as well cause she is my FAV person in SD!!

  8. The owner of this store is really cool if you get a chance to talk to him. I was just in this store last week so it was funny to see the same pictures I took when I visited 🙂 If you want good Italian food go to Buon Appetito in Little Italy or to Mimmos for a quick lunch.

  9. Actually, were you there last Friday? I thought I might’ve seen you but I could be wrong haha! I saw a girl taking pictures and she kinda looked like you so I thought I would ask…anyhow, thanks for the great post! I frequent your blog and it always inspires me 🙂

  10. I love this shop, thanks for the post! I’m looking forward to what you write next about San Diego, as I live here, and am always interested in cool, new places.
