I've posted about Lauryl Lane's work a couple times before but had to share this amazing set of images from a recent Sylvan wedding because it's seriously an impeccable showcase of texture. After color and pattern, texture is one of my favorite visual elements and these florals are texture gone wild…and gorgeous…and breathtaking…

Filing this one away for inspiration! Thanks for sharing!
I am loving the raw cotton bolls suspended from the strings… they look so earthy and warm. I don’t know how everyone keeps coming up with such beautiful and original wedding and party concepts!

hi all,
in response to some of your questions…lauryl says the cottons balls are just that…raw balls of cotton!

lauryl’s sense of design and beauty enhances any event or shoot! She’s amazing!
grrrr, great!!!!
Love this idea of using cotton balls. Anthropologie had entire wall decorated with the same look..it is so unique!
So amazing. Just adore this wedding with the cotton!
This is the most original wedding I have come across in a long time. Thank you Joy for the introduction to Lauryl and her work. I live in the Turks and Caicos Islands and have always admired the beautiful sea island cotton when it’s in season, what a splendid use for it!
lovely lovely lovely!
lauryl’s work is perfection! muah!
Wowie! Wow, wow!! That’s one of the prettiest things i’ve seen in a while…
I like this!
I just came across your blog for the first time and was soo excited to see that you had posted my wedding on here! My husband and I were thrilled when we came up with the idea of using raw cotton for our main decor and we couldn’t love more how Lauryl put it all together!
And to answer the questions- the cream flowers are bolsa wood flowers (they are carved from actual wood) 🙂
Thanks so much for posting our wedding on here! 🙂
Hi Kristen,
Thanks for your note! Your wedding was seriously STUNNING!

Joy
