I recently received an email from a reader asking about suggestions for wedding gifts for her soon-to-be-betrothed friends. I enjoyed coming up with ideas and thought it would be fun to share a few of them here with you. Each with different types of couples in mind and with a budget of $200 per gift.
foodie – start off a foodie marriage with some essential tools for cooking and collecting the beginning of many fine feasts to come.
fashion – offer a place to hang their hat after the end of a long day
flora & fauna – give a charming piece they can use for years to come outfitted with a bouquet from a local florist. top it off with a some little guys to hold their rings
furry friends – for those who love their four-legged friends as much as their human ones…a place for them to relax and nosh.
I absolutely adore that recipe box! Great tips, buying wedding gifts can be so hard..
eeeep! love that little bunny ring holder!!!
the whale vase is handsome and charming in every way. he would be a scene stealer in any home 🙂
these are thoughtful gifts any newlywed would adore. and gives inspiration to the registry making, which rob & i are in the midst of {no more towels, please!}. i will be sure to pass these suggestions on 🙂
xo,

love the way you’ve designed this Joy! you should make a monthly column of gift ideas with different budgets and styles.
Really cute ideas! I love ordering personalized stationary with the brides new name for shower gifts — or boxes of monogrammed thank you notes since they’ll have plenty to write!
The art of buying gifts is underrated. After all, most of us lead pretty busy lives, and we would just as soon pick up the latest and greatest on-sale item at the local department store rather than taking the time to really choose the right gift.
great gifts! love those little recipe boxes 🙂
i adore the ring-holding love bunnies – what a cool, practical gift for newlyweds!

The whale pitcher is fantastic! I also like Jonathan Adler’s dachshund bookends!
