If there was ever a time I wanted to add taste-o-vision to this blog for you all, it would be right this second so that you could have a bite of my newest obsession, the Salted Caramel ice cream from Carmela. Now, I know salted caramel may not be anything new to you, but this ice cream brings it to a whole new, complex, rich, and amazing level. It's smoky, sultry, and not too sweet…three words you don't hear being used to describe too often. If you're local, you can find Carmela at these farmer's markets or these stores. If you're not, looks like they may be offering online shipping soon!

I’m going to throw in my favorite place for delicious cold treats in LA too. Pazzo Gelato in Silver Lake. Their Almond Fig gelato is amazing as is their salted caramel.

We’re obsessed with this ice cream. Try it in an affogato–so so good. Also amazingly salty and creamy—David Leibowitz’s cinnamon ice cream plus classic caramel sauce and a sprinkle of maldon and toasted almond slivers. Amazing. I’m going to make that again soon and post it.
