I love cookbooks with a twist, so I was thrilled to see this new cookbook, Communal Table—a series of self-published books about sharing the love of eating and gathering together. With recipes from bloggers, chefs, and foodies, and illustrated/curated by Caroline Hwang, the first in the series is based on the theme of A Casual Setting. As icing on top of the cake, all profits from every book book in the series will be donated to a food-related organization. The proceeds from A Casual Setting will go to The Food Trust, a Philadelphia-based non-profit who’s approach combines nutrition education and greater availability of affordable, healthy food. Amazing! — Joy
I love this! Both the concept and the illustrations. Reminds me of I Know How To Cook stylistically.
I love the illustrations and the whole concept is so great. I hope they ship to Canada!

This is great! This is absolutely what cookbooks should be.
Love these cookbooks and their encouragement of organic gatherings!
Love everything about this book. Thrilled to see that it benefits the Food Trust too. Maybe it’s time to start a Philly Cookbook Club meetup and start with this delicious read?
