If you can believe it, I've actually been LESS into sweets and dessert since getting pregnant. That doesn't mean I won't still enjoy a scoop of ice cream or a slice of pie, but I don't crave cake and cookies the way I used to before baby. The things I want most are fruity, sour, and vinegar-y in nature, so these drinking vinegars from by Som from Pok Pok have been my newest treat. Som translates to "orange" in Thai but is also used to address things that are sour in taste. The vinegars come really concentrate, so I simply add 1:4 or 1:5 ratio of the drinking vinegar to sparkling water…and it's a light, refreshing, sour soda treat {and you don't taste the vinegar}! — Joy

Oooh, I generally favor more savory, salty, sour-y and vinegar foods. This sounds interesting! Where can you find it?
Interesting! I sometimes drank pickle juice when I was pregnant… and sometimes I drink it when I’m not. Same basic craving, I guess.
Wow that sounds (and looks!) like something I would love. I wish they had a store locator. Did you purchase online or were you able to find it at the store?
thank you for sharing! we love vinegar-y things and these sound great. can’t wait to try it!
I saw those straws at the Pinterest party and thought they were snazzy. There you go again…being clever and ahead of us all.
Oooh…yum. i love sour stuff. will definitely try this! thanks for sharing, Joy! which one’s your favorite flavor?
I’m pregnant with twins and I feel the same way! I used to have a big sweet tooth, but not any more! XD
before Miss V, I didn’t like sweet or spicy, now I’m eating so much of those!
I have never seen that before, but I would love to try it!
Pregnancy does the funniest things to one’s taste buds! Love the look of those bottles.

Joy – where did you get the adorable glass shown?
elizabeth – I think that’s the Charlie Harper Glass from Fishs Eddy. Here’s a link to it: http://www.fishseddy.com/browse.cfm/4,3574.html

My dad’s cure for everything health wise, vinegar. Sore throat- gargle vinegar, heat stroke-vinegar. Parents are too funny. I might have to buy him SOM.
I’ve never seen this before, very interesting. It’s funny how pregnancy can change your taste buds!
Went to Pok Pok (a Thai restaurant in Portland, Oregon) last night and tried the drinking vinegar (I had pineapple flavor). Was sweet and sour but not really vinegary. I liked it. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.

These balsams from Vom Fass also make delicious drinking vinegars (especially the honey and the calamansi, when added to sparkling water): https://www.vomfassusa.com/commerce/catalog.jsp?catId=41
Nice! Really cool!
