{work in progress} the baby’s room…

Now that we know we're having a girl, it's fun to be able to really start planning the major things we need to buy for her. The first fun part…the baby's room! Despite my girlie demeanor, I actually am not a very pink and purple kind of girl and instead, love the idea of keeping the room neutral with bright pops of color and of course, a little bit of metallic… — Joy

{vintage clock from ClockWork UniverseOh Joy for Hygge & West wallpaper, floral light by David Tribridge, DwellStudio furniture {glider, century crib and dresser, and rug}, Trumpette baby mocs, Jonathan Adler accessories {lamp, apple pillow, giraffe pillow}, mix and match Auggie crib linens and blankets, coat hooks from A+R, gold moroccan pouf, and Kristina Klarin necklace for color inspiration!}

  1. REALLY love this collection. This is exactly the way I would go if I had a baby on the way. Actually, I’m going to use some of this inspiration for my new place 🙂 Can’t wait to see the final product!

  2. This is a perfect color palette, one that I’ve always favored. Can’t wait to see the real thing. (baby and room that is) It’s a GIRL!!!!

  3. Absolutely! I love it and am not surprised that that little one’s room will be just as stylish as the rest of her home! 🙂 Love it all but, especially your paper, the light and that awesome ellie lamp!

  4. I just bought that crib! It’s the best. I love the Danish look of it and I love your mood board. It’s nice to see some spunk in nurseries versus the baby pink or boy blue!

  5. Congratulations! I’m heading for my 20 week ultrasound in one week and can’t wait to find out myself!!
    Loved your inspiration board here, I’m anxious to get started on our baby’s nursery too! 🙂

  6. Love everything baby Joy! So so happy for you! At first I thought the coat hooks may have been unusual pacifiers and I was like, “oh my goodness, Joy is really getting serious here!”, then I back-tracked and spotted hooks… hehehe 😉

  7. i fell in love with that dwell glider when i saw it in the store (giggle in pasadena). i’m trying to choose between something like that or an ugly yet extremely comfortable (and easy to take naps in) lazy boy rocking recliner.

  8. Sounds like the perfect design scheme for Little Cho! I love neutrals with pops of bright too, that giraffe pillow is too adorable!

  9. Can I please be your baby and live in that room, a little creepy I know, but that room is just so beautiful!?

  10. wow I really love it, I am not too much into pink and purples either I went for greens and yellows with gray thrown in. Now that I am redoing a play space for my munchkin I am thinking along those sames lines I love what you have put together so far I cannot wait to see when it’s done!

  11. This is just the cutest baby room inspiration ever!! Love it so much!! Come to think of it I love everything you do! I can’t wait to see this baby’s room in action!

  12. Hi Joy! Love your blog and your house. When will we get to see more pics? I read Anthology, looked at your website and Emily’s, but still haven’t really seen your bedroom, the dining room, the nursery!!! I have sent for two samples of your wallpaper based on your happy, pretty home: please give us more! 😀
