pregnancy pampering…

Pregnancy-pampering

Pregnancy-pampering

As I've come to realize over the last few months, pregnancy is a beautiful, yet crazy, time in your life. You feel like a different version of yourself and see changes and feel emotions you never imagined while growing this tiny baby inside your belly. I'm all about making yourself feel as good as possible during this ride. So for my fellow mamas-in-the-making, I wanted to share some of my favorite pregnancy treats I've been loving so far…

1. Back in the day, women used to wear tents and hide their baby belly, but I'm all about showing off that bump and loving Isabella Oliver's dresses and tees {this dress has been a lifesaver for wearing to weddings}. I love that they grow with you and can be worn after baby is born, too.

2. I've traveled a TON during my 2nd trimester, and this One Love Organics waterless balm has made traveling lightly so much easier.

3. Even though stretch marks are genetic, I've been using L'Occitane pure shea butter and…

4. Elizabeth Dehn Shea Cream for preventing them and so far so good {fingers crossed!}.

5. Ice cream delivered from Jeni's…just because it's that good…

6. Bob got this for me at 9 weeks, and I sleep in pure comfort with this Comfort U total body pillow even though it takes up a good chunk of the bed!

7. Even though I've been all about fruit during this pregnancy, when I want baked goods, I've been craving cookies from The Cravory, but when I need it NOW I've found Pillsbury Simply…cookies {from the grocery store} to hit the spot and offer good portion control.

  1. Have you tried Palmer’s Cocoa Butter? My friends who have had babies swear by it (+ it’s inexpensive so you can slather it on all over!). So glad you’re enjoying pregnancy!! xo

  10. Loving all of these pregnancy finds! I agree with you on showing off your belly… there’s no reason to try and hide it, might as well make it obvious that your pregnant, and not have people thinking you just put on a few pounds 🙂

  11. these are fabulous! i’ll be 14 weeks tomorrow and now need to invest in some of these. so far my body pillow has been my best friend, but that full body one is now looking to give it a run for its money 🙂

  12. Jeni’s really is just that good! I live right down the street from one of her Columbus shops and have to restrain myself otherwise I’ve be eating ice cream cones everyday!

  13. I can’t remember – have you been to pazzo yet? If not, then get your man to do a gelato run for you there pronto. I’m telling you, chica, I’d contemplate getting pregnant just to justify a daily drive-by. Alas, now with this damn diabetes diagnosis, I can only live vicariously through others. High class problems, I know, but problems none-the-less. 😉

  14. I’m 27 weeks and am loving Clarins Huile Tonic Body Treatment Oil…I’ve been using it once or twice a day for the past two months 🙂

  15. I’ve read up on One Love Organics’ Skin Savior waterless multi balm and I’m SO TEMPTED TO BUY IT. But it seems pricey…do you absolutely love it?! I’m always skeptical of products that claim to do it all, but the ingredients seem heavenly!

  16. Oh, we love Jeni’s! I used to live in Columbus and we missed it so much after I moved out of state. They just started carrying it in one of our local upscale markets, but not many flavors. Now that we have her recipe book, it is definitely dangerous territory! My husband made 2 flavors for my birthday last week and then, “just so we don’t waste the cream before it goes bad,” made a 3rd flavor. Incredible even if I weren’t pregnant!

  17. I began using Shea Butter at about week 10 of my pregnancy, and applied it every other day or so to my belly, hips, and breasts. I use the Lady Soma brand Stretch Mark Treatment (Called Somatique) and I apply it every night and after showers.
About a week and a half after using Lady Soma’s Stretch Mark Treatment, the two little stretch marks on each hip are fading away (no longer reddish/purple) with no signs of scarring!! The slight marks on my breasts also seem to be less noticeable. Genetics are of course the biggest factor in stretch marks, but the healing I’ve noticed to the areas that started getting marks after applying the Lady Soma lotion is pretty remarkable in my opinion.
