Thanks so much for all your sweet comments the other day on the arrival of our little lady. Many of you have been asking about her name and to see some photos…so I'm so happy to introduce…
Ruby Katherine Cho to you! Ruby has been a name I've loved for a while and Katherine is in honor of a dear friend of mine {and relative of Bob's} who passed away several years ago. She also has Thai and Korean nicknames that her grandparents on each side will call her {ps. it was so fun to see what You Can't Call It It suggested for names}

Ruby arrived last Wednesday, October 12th and was 6 lbs, 11 oz. My labor was surprisingly quick {but far from painless!} as she was quite eager to join the outside world. She's only 5 days old today, and it's crazy how much I could love someone I just met this much. Our lives are forever changed in the most amazing way possible. While I don't always get super personal here, I've been thinking about sharing some of my tips, recommendations, and things I've learned after being pregnant and being a new mom with you all if you're interested in hearing. I'll keep you guys posted on Ruby from time to time as she grows and as we get to know our little lady more and more… — Joy

  1. oh congratulations! I love the name, and you’re right – she’s got some pretty incredible little cheeks to snuggle up to. Congratulations to your budding little family!

  2. I would love to hear tips! I fear the day I have to give birth to a child, so any tips from someone who has been there would be comforting!

  3. Aw congratulations Joy — she is a stunner! And what beautiful names too (my name’s Katherine, so can attest to it being a wonderful name 😉

  4. congratulations to you and bob! ruby looks like a little angel, so adorable! 🙂
    and yes, i would be interested to hear about your experiences when you get a chance. i’m about 12 – 13 weeks along and looking for any pregnancy tips! i already bookmarked the clothing brands you recommended 🙂

  5. Aw congratulations on your beautiful bundle of joy! She’s so precious 🙂 Would LOVE to hear more of your experience during pregnancy and motherhood (as I’m almost 8.5 months preggo myself).

  6. Oh maaah gaaah! Everything about her is perfect – her hair is even naturally styled! Our daughter (17 months) is named Zoey Katherine. Katherine is a family name on both sides. My husband wouldn’t let me make her middle name Unicorn or Xanadu, so Katherine was obviously the next best choice.
    Advice and tips are always fun and I am sure a lot of mom’s will weigh in in the comments section!
    Enjoy the crap out of her!

  7. So exciting! Ruby is so beautuiful. Enjoy this special time, as mother to a 13 months old, I can tell you that those first few months are so precious and go by so quickly. It’s an exhausting time, but one you’ll cherish.
    I hope you’ll share your experience with us.

  8. Ruby is precious! You and Bob will never be the same! Relax and enjoy every moment because she will grow up fast. My baby is 18 now and it just feels like yesterday that he was little like Ruby!

    We just had a little one and he is growing so fast. He is now 6 months and so much bigger. You’ll be surprised how the newborn stage goes in a blink of an eye. So make sure you put on the outfits you want on her before she grows out of them. LOL. Can’t wait for your tips. Here are a tip, I’d love to share: I love the Safety1st nail filer. So much easier than nail clippers or needing teeny tiny bandaids. ;D I just file his nails while I nurse him with boppy pillow of course. So happy for you guys!
