Happy Friday guys! I'm a bit late on feeling the Christmas spirit {maybe because it was in the mid-70's here in LA this week!}. But I'm slowly, but surely, getting there…putting up the tree this weekend will surely help. I've finally sent out our birth announcement to our friends and family, so now I can share it with you here! We worked with Anna Bond from Rifle Paper Co. for Ruby's birth announcement, and we think it tells the perfect story about our new family. And yes, Ruby is holding a chicken drumstick in the illustration. That makes me laugh every time I see it…can't wait till she's doing silly things like that in real life. Have a great first December weekend, folks! Stay tuned for more gift guides and special giveaways coming throughout the month! — Joy

Ps. Congrats to Hilary D. from Greensboro, NC (#684) for being the winner of our winter "This & That" giveaway. While we normally only have one giveaway per month, for the holiday season, we'll have one each week till Christmas. So stay tuned!

  1. That is so adorable!!!
I’m bummed I didn’t win that giveaway. I just love those polka dot ceramics so much! Maybe I’ll have to get some as a present to myself…

  2. I can already tell how much of a great mother you’ll continue to be. I’d always hope for cute little things like this done for my birthdays, so I’m sure she’ll look back 18 years later and treasure all that you do for her!

  3. What a beautiful baby girl and amazing design. So Cute! One year when my oldest daughter was little she tried to bite the leg of the turkey while it was on display for Thanksgiving. She received such laughs and picture taking that it is now a part of our Thanksgiving Tradition (and she is 14! now!) Have fun with your new bundle and making all those silly traditions that make your family unique.

  4. Having a baby is a wonderful experience to the parent because it is a greatest gift from God. Using this blog to sent out an announcement for the new member of the family is a good idea. Congratulations!

  5. Wow, that is so charming! Your family is so darn adorable I can hardly stand it! Did Anna Bond do the illustration or just layout and production? Very unique, polished and playful 🙂

  6. So love seeing little beautiful Ruby doing her ‘thing’ too! Have a happy week and thanks for sharing as always Joy!
