  8. This valentines day I’m going to make a very special dinner, open a fancy bottle of wine, indulge in dessert and spoil that very special someone………… ME!!!!! 🙂 Who says being single on V-day has to be depressing!?

  9. Such a lovely giveaway – and even for my favorite holiday! I will be hosting my annual Valentine’s tea for the ladies – it is a fun tradition I have every year to share my love of V-day with others!
    Much love,
    B

  10. My husband and I are planning on going out to a nice dinner to a restaurant in town. Tiramisu is our favorite dessert, so that will probably be on our plates, too.. 🙂

  11. So pretty! Don’t have real plans for Valentine’s Day – probably just cooking a nice dinner for me and my husband!

  12. That necklace is beautiful! My husband and I have a tradition of celebrating Valentine’s day a day before or after Feb 14th. This year we’ll be in LA and will probably go to dinner.

  13. I am obsessed with that necklace! My hubby and I are going to our favorite restaurant for Vday this year–one we visited when we first started dating in high school:-)

  14. This year my boyfriend and I are going to stay in and cook some simple pasta together 🙂

  15. My husband and I, after trying out a few different overpriced restaurants, have settled into a great tradition of preparing a special meal at home and enjoying each other’s company!

  16. My Valentine’s Day will be spent at home – I’m in charge of breakfast, and my boyfriend is making dinner!

  17. Dinner, a fire, wine, and a trip down memory lane with old photo albums. (After the kids go to bed!)

  18. This is a lovely giveaway! That heart necklace is so pretty! I am actually not sure what we will be doing for valentines day this year. Maybe a fun little dinner for two for me and my husband-to-be!

  19. My fiancé and I are having dinner in and a movie night, alternating between Rocky/The Godfather and Casablanca/Sleepless In Seattle. That’s love.

  20. Not sure what my plan is yet – probably hanging with my best girls and watching a movie!

  21. So glad to have these websites for the future! This Valentine’s day will be spent making (and eating) gnocchi and baked hot chocolate for my partner…and his mom 🙂

  22. St. Valentine’s Day is my birthday, so hearts in design hold a special place in my own heart! My husband and I will be celebrating with friends at our favorite restaurant.

  23. I’m planning to spend this Valentine’s day with some friends that I love – enjoying a nice bottle of red wine and heading to see The Artist – because what says love better than French actors? Valentines Day with friends is just so much more relaxing!

  24. i do not know what i have planned for valentines day…as my boyfriend said he has a suprise planned. i think it might be reservations at a spot i have been wishing to go to for a long time

  25. Strangely, I will be meeting with my congressmen to discuss refugee issues on Valentine’s Day — I work at a non-profit. But hopefully, my (long-suffering) boyfriend will be able to come down from NYC to meet me in DC afterwards.
Love this blog, btw, so beautiful!

  26. I think it will involve our good chocolate and sherry in front of the fireplace. Beautiful jewelry!

  27. Last year my fiance proposed to me the day before Valentine’s Day, on the red carpet at the Grammys then we celebrated my birthday the day after Valentine’s. This year we have plans for a sweet, quiet dinner away from everyone ;).

  28. Love the pillow and the beautiful necklace! For Valentine’s Day I’m spending it with my two favorite people in the whole world, my niece and nephew.

  29. I’d love to have either of those! Valentine’s day is a surprise to me – I don’t know what the boy has planned!

  30. Those pillows are so sweet! This year will be the 6th Valentine’s I spend with my sweetheart, and our first as a married couple. We’ll follow our very romantic tradition of ordering sesame chicken from the chinese food takeout and making homemade cards.

  31. We’ll either cook a nice meal at home or try and snag a seat at the counter of the sushi place around the corner I’ve been hearing rave reviews about.

  32. LOVE this giveaway!! My fiance and I plan to enjoy a simple night in together – I will cook him is favorite meal and we will snuggle by the fire with our golden retriever, Tommy Shaw! Love Valentines Day!

  33. So beautiful!!!! I plan to have a quite dinner in with my boyfriend, making our Valentines traditional heart shaped pizzas.

  34. Love the giveaway… beautiful and cute! 🙂
My hubby and i don’t have any plans as of now, we’ve been too busy planning and prepping for our little girl (she’s due this March)… eek!
We’ll probably make a heart shaped pizza with heart shaped salami… eat heart shaped cookies and cuddle on the couch. perfect low key evening before many many busy nights with our new baby.
love the blog and your style!
    keep it up!
    Jessi

  35. We adopted our cats on 2/14/09, so our Valentine’s Day involves buying them catnip toys and ordering in Cajun food, which is what we did the day we got them!!! 🙂

  36. Spending V-day alone (but happy) and probably with pizza and a chicky flick! Love AG’s jewlery and would die for either pieces!!
    xx

  37. a casual evening with my #1 man… we find out if we’re having a baby boy or girl a few days before, so probably daydreaming about that together!

  38. We just welcomed our first child last week, so we will be at home celebrating over takeout from our favorite farm to table restaurant – in between breastfeeding, diapers, & minor meltdowns (by both mom & baby). Simple, but spectacular for us.

  39. (I submitted a comment, but don’t see it on here – so I thought I’d send it again.)
My husband and I plan on making a Valentine’s dinner at home together this year. We figured it’d be a nice alternative to long wait times and crowded restaurants on Valentine’s Day.
Really looking forward to spending some quality time with my honey!

  40. I LOVE the heart necklace! How sweet and perfect.
This Valentine’s Day my boyfriend and I will make a lovely New Mexican meal of red chile enchiladas, beans, rice, salsa and guacamole. And some margaritas, of course!
We’ve recently moved to Florida from the Southwest, so we savor every bite of our freezer’s frozen red chile and salsas. They are GOLD.

  41. We’ll be staying home and cooking dinner ourselves…I think hand made ravioli will be on the menu, mmmm!

  42. What gorgeous jewelry! My fiance and I will make a nice dinner – spend a day at the fancy grocery store and cooking together, then sit around the fire pit outside, and end the night with a delicious dessert!

  43. This Valentine’s Day we are staying home, but we plan to go out to a nice dinner the day after (to avoid the crowds)!

  46. wow, these are all so beautiful! we are cooking dinner at home together and treating each other to a show, jersey boys!

  47. My fiancé and I can’t spend Valentine’s together this year… but lots planned for the next few months, when we’ll be moving in together 🙂

  48. My love and I will be snuggling on the sofa and drinking a great bottle of wine for Valentine’s day!

  49. Did it just delete my whole post?! Noooooo!
Basically I said I love the knot ring but I have really chubster fingers (dainty things don’t look so swell on them)…ironic since I’m tall and lanky as heck.
As for Vday…we don’t celebrate in a huge way. He surprised me last year with Goapele tickets which was nice, but I enjoy spoiling my girlfriends on that day ten times more!

  50. My fiance and I will be celebrating exactly 2 months before our wedding. We are going to try to get a Gilt City deal to a local restaurant that is doing a series with guest chefs – we’ll find out next Monday if we can score the deal! We will go to our favorite restaurant as a backup.

  51. What a nice giveaway! Valentine’s will be understated for me–dinner in and cookie making with my two valentines: my husband and my two year old son!

  52. So far I don’t have any Valentine’s plans. My husband and I will probably go out a few days beforehand or after, though, because we dislike overpriced Valentine’s prix-fixe menus.

  53. my wonderful hubby is taking me out to dinner. I got him a little calendar that has pictures from our wedding over the summer. it should be low key but nice

  54. Sweet giveaway! My husband and I usually stay in, order sushi and the cuddle while watching a movie on Valentine’s day. It’s nice to relax and enjoy time with one another without having to deal with the crowds who are out.

  55. I’m not allowed to know what I’m doing for valentines day.. my boyfriend said it was a surprise 🙂

  56. Last year we played trivia with friends for Valentine’s Day, I’m sure we’ll do something equally low-key this year.

  57. Beautiful Jewelry!
I’m planning a girls night out complete with high heels, fancy dresses and a lot of bubbly.

  58. We are planning to cook a nice meal together, glass of wine and a really good dessert! Hope everybody have a nice Valentine around the people you love.

  62. We both love nature, especially the greens! We’ll be adding to our succulent collection and taking a plant mounting class then heading home to make dinner and a nice fire to snuggle by.

  63. I love the knot ring – very simple and whimsical.
i’ll be spending my first valentine’s day with the love of my life – after 7 years of friendship and missed connections we’ve finally found each other.
We are going to cook dinner together and enjoy a bottle of wine. Looking forward to many many more.

  64. I am volunteering at a benefit for a local nonprofit arts group for a prom themed valentine’s day fundraiser!

  65. Unfortunately, I’ll be out of town for work. But look out Dallas, I’ll be ready to tear it up in my hotel room in my PJs with room service and cable TV after a long day of work.

  66. This is our last Valentine’s Day as just the two of us. (our little one is due in March!) I don’t think we’ll end up doing anything crazy, though. We usually go out to dinner, but haven’t made plans for anything yet this year. It will probably be a night spent eating a nice homemade dinner around the dining room table, which is an oddity, and spending quiet time together.

  67. I adore Ariel Gordon’s jewelry! My boyfriend’s and my plan for V-day is to have fondue and homemade dinner at our house. To finish the night off we’ll curl up on the couch and watch movies together!

  68. These are all adorable!
Valentine’s Day happens to be my favorite holiday but I am plan-free this year. I do know, however, I will be baking chocolate cookies and cinnamon marshmallows for the occasion. Can’t wait!

  69. My boyfriend just heard the date February 28th and said “Oh wait isn’t that Valentine’s day?”….. I have a feeling I am not doing much! haha….

My husband and I are having a cozy night in on Valentine’s Day – cooking dinner together and curling up on the couch to watch a movie. I much prefer that on V-Day, rather than dealing with the hassle of reservations and all the awkwardness around. We go out to eat enough the other 364 days of the year 😉

  73. this is a very lovely giveaway!! every valentine’s day my husband and i host a dinner party with our closest friends- my husband and i + 5 other couples. so, this year we will be celebrating at our house with the friends that we love!

  76. It looks like my first comment didn’t post, so I’ll try again…
Over the past few years, we taken a less is more approach to Valentine’s Day. We avoid the gifts and restaurants and spend quality time at home. With a 16-month old at home, we enjoy celebrating our love as a family.

  77. It’s my first Valentine’s Day with my new husband! We do nice dinners quite often, so we have a tongue-in-cheek approach with Valentine’s…we did Shake Shack last year, so maybe this year will be White Castle. 😛

  78. The heart necklace is just perfect! I’ve been searching for a small gold heart for so long. My fiance and I will be celebrating our last V-day before getting married and 10 years of togetherness 🙂 We’ll probably stay home and cook dinner for each other, since we’re saving for our wedding. But cozy nights at home are more enjoyable to me than fancy restaurants. xo

My husband doesn’t believe in Valentine’s Day so he ‘s decided to cook dinner AND wash the dishes for me that Tuesday night. That’s pretty awesome if you ask me! I’m making him a beautiful handmade card that says “I love you more than cake, and you know how much I love cake.” I”ll use watercolors and high quality paper and pens.
I’m excited!! This jewelry is lovely; so fine and delicate, it just glints a little in the sunlight.

  82. Valentine’s Day is like my Christmas, though I’m almost never attached. This year I am going to a gallery opening with my best friend and we’ll be drinking wine and dancing. Usually there is some champagne, cupcakes, and a Christian Bale film as well. So excited for it!

  83. I have always loved both of these pieces! My sweetie and I are in a long distance relationship, so my valentine’s plans are to go to a local comedy show with some gal pals!

  84. My husband and I are going to have dinner at home with our precious two year old. Nothing like being with the two loves of my life!

  88. Wow that jewelry is stunning!
My bf will be out of town this Valentine’s Day so I plan to bake myself some red velvet cupcakes and veg out to a cheesy chick flick.

  89. Love the jewelry! We probably won’t be doing too much for Valentine’s Day, and in fact I think my fiance will be traveling for work!

  144. Love the knot ring and heart necklace 🙂 Definitely a quiet, home-cooked-meal night in planned.

  145. My boyfriend and I will probably do our usual and make a yummy dinner at home. We don’t do anything extra special for valentines day because we always try and have it be special whenever we get to see each other. Making him know he’s my valentine all year round 🙂

  146. How fun! My husband and I are celebrating our first Valentine’s Day as a married couple with a yummy dinner. Then I’m treating him to a weekend pass to a golf tournament (his favorite)!

  147. My husband Zak, 3 year old Gray, and I will have a nice dinner and give small gifts. I am also hosting a valentine party for 3 year olds.

  149. Getting an ultrasound of the baby that morning and then going to a Bulls game that evening!!! Double excitement!! 🙂

  150. Lovely giveaway! My husband and I don’t have plans…yet. We might wait to celebrate Valentine’s Day…at The Shins show in the spring! 🙂

  151. This jewelry is great! so unique! My fiance and i are getting married in august and i would love to add this ring to my shabby chic meets modern wedding! For v-day we have made a tradition of eating at ihop because its where we went on our first valentines together! its cheesey but its nice because its so quiet since most other couples are at a really nice place!

  152. So pretty! My fiance and I will spend Valentine Day’s at home. We made ourselves a sushi feast (healthy, fun project to do together) last year and have decided to make it a tradition!

  153. On Valentine’s day my partner and I will be cooking dinner together, sharing a nice bottle of wine from Healdsburg and exchanging handmade gifts. This year, I’ve made him an accordian style book featuring hearts cut from maps of all the places we’ve been together this year 🙂
(The Ariel Gordon necklace makes me absolutely swoooon!!!)

  154. What a lovely giveaway. I think I know someone special in my life that would love the heart necklace. Hopefully I’m the lucky one chosen so I can make someone’s Valentine’s a little bit more special. My plans are to stay in with my hubby and kitty and watch a romantic comedy while eating take out.

  155. What a delightful giveaway! While my Valentine’s Day plans aren’t concrete, I have the 3 day weekend before the 14th off from work, and I’m thinking a mini-getaway might be in order…

  156. keeping fingers crossed the hubs doesn’t have to work out of town so we can enjoy a homemade steak dinner 🙂

  157. Love that necklace, and the little heart pillow, super cute.
Valentine’s Day this year as per usual is just me and a cup of hot chocolate having a romantic comedy marathon.

  158. Going out to dinner was a little too hectic/expensive last year, so we are going down to fisherman’s wharf, grabbing some crab, and having a crab feed at home, just the 2 of us.

  159. Love the neckalace and the ring! Super cute!!
My husband and I are planning on spending that night together, dinner in, with some great wine.

  160. Love the giveaways!!
Unfortunately, my boyfriend will be out of town for work 🙁 So, I will be drinking wine and watching bad reality TV at home. haha

  161. I will be traveling for work on Valentine’s day but was planning to send my love flowers at work. Is it weird to send men flowers? I think he’ll secretly love it.

  162. The plan this Valentine’s day is to finally surprise my boyfriend with his very own romantic evening! I’m planning on serving his favorite foods paired with his new favorite beer, allowing HIM to finally get to choose what movie we watch, and doing all of the dishes (without complaint!)

  163. I love the jewelry! So beautiful!
I have a surprise for my boyfriend this year, it marks the three years we’ve been together and three years of me being cancer free! WOOH! I am going home early from work before he gets off and cooking his favorite steak with bacon. Gonna get the pups and kittens all cleaned up and then we will go on a drive to our favorite park to walk and talk all night! It’s a great way to celebrate these two anniversary!
    xoxo, Jjanga

  165. I think we’re having a relaxed home cooked meal on Valentines this year… although who knows, I could be surprised!

  166. The jewelry is breathtaking; love under-stated elegance!
Valentine’s Day falls on my boyfriend and I’s one-year anniversary.. we will be celebrating with a romantic night in, spent cooking together and getting cozy by the fireplace.

  167. Love both those stores!
We will probably have a light dinner, but go all out for dessert…and all this at home, while watching a Disney animation movie. 🙂

  168. My fiancee and I live in different cities, and since Valentine’s Day is on a week day this year we won’t be able to spend it together but we plan on spending the evening chatting via webcam 🙂 I love talking to him late into the night until we both get sleepy and fall asleep.

  169. I’m cracking open a bottle of pinot noir that I’ve been saving for a while and a quiet evening at home.

  170. Love the jewelry 🙂 I don’t really have anything planned, I think I’m having a girl’s night in with our favorite movies.

  171. Probably just a peaceful night at home, cuddling with husband and baby. With something particularly delicious for dinner and a great dessert.

  172. Lovely giveaway! My valentine’s plans will be low key – dinner and a movie! Sometimes simple things are the best.

  173. No plans yet, but as long as I get to spend some quality time with my boyfriend, I’ll be happy 🙂

  174. I am vowing to not spending Valentine’s Day 2012 pining after the man I was in love with during Valentine’s Day 2011.
New year. New me. Bold moves 2012.

  175. I absolutely love that heart necklace! I will be having a girls night in on Valentine’s day 🙂

  176. Love the jewelry & pillows!
As of right now, my plans include getting something special for myself!

  177. My boyfriend and I hate going out for Valentine’s Dad–always so expensive and the food is usually worse than other days of the year. This year we’re celebrating with a bottle of wine, and all the cheese and charcuterie we can stuff in our faces.

  178. lovely jewelry!
My husband and I will hopefully be at home listening to the heartbeats of the twins I’m carrying!

  179. Let’s be honest. I’ll be babysitting. We’ll probably go for a long walk and eat something pink for dinner. Grapefruit, maybe?

  180. I’m planning a Valentine’s Day trifecta of surprises for my hubs. First, my Funny Valentine will feature silly photos of us together in a shadow box. Then, My Stylish Valentine will find him opening a very lovely box with a tres chic scarf inside. And lastly, I’ll surprise him with a decadent dinner at a restaurant we’ve been dying to go to for My Foodie Valentine. Can’t wait!

  181. we have a 11 month old baby and pregnant with #2 so i think we’ll stay in. order some dinner and watch a movie.

  182. Lovely giveaway! I’ve cut out red paper hearts in various sizes (filled with things I appreciate about my husband) which I’m going to scatter in a little trail from the front door for when he comes home from work. Then it’s a homemade dinner, Godiva hot chocolate, and a relaxing night in for us.

  183. Ooh, both sites are wonderful and full of so many great things. Thanks for hosting the fun giveaway! I’m especially in love with the knot ring and those darling heart pillows.
I think for Valentine’s this year we’ll just do something low-key here at home. We’ve never been big on celebrating Valentine’s day. I am hoping to get around at least decorating for it this year though. My little girl has a love affair with hearts and I think she’d be overjoyed to wake up one morning to find the house covered in red and pink hearts.

  184. Oh, I love these so much! I don’t know that we have anything planned yet, but I wish we could plan a little get away somewhere romantic!

  185. How adorable! I’ll be at home with my fiance this valentines day. We’re planning on a low key and wonderful day 🙂

  186. I love Ariel Gordon Jewelry! Nature baby is new to me, but everything on their site is adorable.
We’re going to stay close to home for Valentine’s day … make a nice dinner and drink some wine!

  187. Thanks for the giveaway! I’ll be spending this Valentine’s at church with a bunch of my girl friends for a singles night 🙂

  188. Love it! So fabu!
Normally my boyfriend and I try a new restaurant to keep it special and adventurous!

  189. The love of my life is planning a special surprise for us. Can’t wait to find out what it is! I hope it involves sweet love notes and yummy food.

  190. The jewelry pieces are absolutely fantastic. And no big plans; just a stay at home and enjoy each other’s company sort of evening–the best kind.

  191. Nothing much planned. My boyfriend will be out of town visiting his sister, so a new piece of jewelry would be a great pick-me-up.
(sorry if this is a double!)

  192. We might go out to a nice dinner sometime around Valentine’s Day, but we’ll probably spend that night at home with a good pizza, dessert, and a movie. Sometimes simple is best!

  193. making dinner together
    sitting by the fire
    drinking a little champagne
taking a snowy *i hope* stroll about town

  194. I love the tiny heart necklace! Because my boyfriend and I are in a long distance relationship, I am planning on sending him a care package filled with candy, chocolate bark (recipe from the lovely, Ina Garten) and a card. We won’t be able to do anything on the actual day, but hopefully a nice phone call!

  195. This will be the last Valentine’s that my husband and I spend childless as our first baby is due in March! For Christmas my mom gifted us with two nights at a bed and breakfast in a quaint little town about 3 hours away. We are looking forward to a fun, relaxing weekend just the two of us!

  196. love the knot ring!! i’ll be taking in a hockey game and a concert for valentine’s day with my new guy…I try and treat it like any other day!

  197. I love delicate little jewelry pieces like those! I hope I win!
Mi esposo and I will be having an epic and opulent Valentines Day date, at a killer Italian restaurant in our hometown of Scottsdale, AZ. Amazing views of the city, gorgeous interior design, memorable, authentic food you tell stories about (the opposite of gross cheese-laden Americanized Italian), and the most gracious waitstaff. Um, yea… I’m excited.

  198. A sushi date night with my roommates 🙂 Even though we all have special someones, sometimes you need to rekindle that flame with your girls!

  199. Fantastic giveaway, thank you!! I have a [secret] reservation booked for Saturday the 11th at a great restaurant up in the mountains in Boulder–we’ve been planning to go for years! On the 14th I think we’ll just cook a nice meal at home and avoid the mayhem 🙂

  200. this usually all-too-bitter-about-v-day single girl would like to celebrate it this year by wearing my heart on my sleeve … err … chest … or … finger. oh yeah.

  201. I’ll be flying home from Thailand that afternoon, so prob will just fall into bed with my sweetie and crash.

  206. Hello! So silly as it is, I am really not sure what my husband and I will be doing for valentine’s day : ) Most likely cooking a yummy dinner in and a movie!

  207. This Valentine’s Day will be spent with my amazing boyfriend of 1 year, with a dinner downtown at a famous steakhouse. I am planning to wow him with a LBD; a piece of jewelry from Ariel Gordon would be the perfect touch! xoxo

  208. Instead of Valentine’s day out, we usually do a few surprise dates out in the week before and after. So this Feb 14, we’ll probably be watching something fun and eating my favorite dinner ever — unlimited antipasta.

  209. All the items are so lovely – hard to decide which is my favorite. And to celebrate: a cheese, wine and chocolate tasting class!

  210. Love this giveaway!
This Valentine’s Day is all about family. My husband I have two boys (ages 3 and 3 months), so daytime activities will most likely include baking and decorating cookies, and making valentines for friends. Once the kids are in bed it’ll be time for a romantic home cooked meal + bottle of wine for mom and dad.

  217. We’re not sure yet so it’ll be spontaneous! But most likely something very low key 🙂

  218. I am planning a night in for us this year to celebrate our first Valentine’s Day with baby! A movie, red wine and a couple of votive candles with some good itunes will be perfect!

My boyfriend is in grad school and I’m working at a small newspaper so we’ve decided not to spend any big money this Valentine’s Day. Instead, we’ll have a Home Improvement marathon and stay in all day, enjoying each other’s company. Sounds pretty perfect to me.

  225. i love delicate pieces like this! my valentine’s day will most likely be spent indulging in some gelato with my sister 🙂

  226. What an AMAZING giveaway! I have never won anything on a blog before and I would love to have some nice jewelry and a pillow in time for Valentine’s day! To celebrate Valentine’s Day, my boyfriend and I are going to a Thai restaurant that doesn’t have a menu and only holds about 20 people. They prepare dishes with whatever is fresh – all you have to do is tell them foods that you don’t eat, and they take care of the rest! I am so excited 🙂

  227. taking the dogs for a walk downtown and then movie night in, with homemade pizza and wine with the hub. love the simple things!

  228. Love that necklace! We never do much on Valentine’s Day, probably dinner at home and be hopeful that I won’t have to work that night.

  233. These are fabulous giveaways and I sure hope I get lucky! 🙂 Last Valentine’s Day we started a new tradition. We used to always go to a super fancy restaurant, but we decided from now on we’ll go to our favorite Thai restaurant in our town. We did it last year and will continue it each year. It’s comfortable and casual and we know we’ll be filling our bellies with food we love. This year will be extremely special…it’s our last V-day as two-we welcome our first baby in March.

But during the day, my son’s kindergarten class is having a Valentine’s Teddy Bear Tea Party and I am making heart-shaped beanbags for him to give to his classmates. It will be fun to see what creative valentines he gets… this is a Waldorf school so it will all be handmade!!

  242. After work, my boyfriend and I are having dinner with his parents at one of our favorite restaurants here in town. I’ve never had a Valentine till last year and while I thought it was cheesy till then, it really is a great day to celebrate with the one that you love.

  263. Love Nature Baby and love the jewelry! Every Valentine’s day my husband and I decide to do a really unromantic dinner at home: homemade nachos and Brooklyn Lager beer! 264. I absolutely love the knot ring!
This Valentine’s day I don’t have any special plans. My boyfriend and I actually have an anniversary on February 13th so we skip Valentine’s day altogether and celebrate the day before. This year we may take the train to Chicago (I live in MN).

My fella and I are giving each other silly gifts, eating lots of chocolate, drinking wine (me) and bourbon (him) and having some sort of fancy dinner. 274. Fun stuff!
This year is my first time being single in a long time. I’m going to try and really enjoy it, probably with especially good groceries (baguette, cheese, olives, crudites) and cocktail or wine of choice. I also might want to hit the gym first or go for a walk in the snow.

  307. This is a fantastic giveaway and I am obsessed with Ariel’s jewelry and Joy’s inspiring blog!
For Valentine’s day, I’m looking forward to spending quality time with my boyfriend and cooking at home. We have decided to make pizzas and will gorge on red velvet cake!

  320. Amazing giveaway! I love them all!!
A surprise for my husband, Valentines Day.
I will decorate the bedroom in white Christmas lights, candles and flowers, with a big “I LOVE YOU” banner across our bed. (Still need to find an organic looking banner off Etsy.:)) The bed will be dressed in a brand new ruffles comforter with new white sheets which I managed to find from Rachel Ashwell’s Shabby Chic collection and rose petals, just like the first night my husband and I spent together 13 yrs ago. 🙂 I feel so old sometimes, but we are both barely 30 and still after all these yrs madly in love with each other. I hope I can really express my love for him through the lights and decorations, because he is absolutely the best person. My knight in shining armor!

  330. I love this giveaway! This Valentine’s Day will be my last as an unmarried woman! We are getting married in May and also just moved into a new home and are consequently a little short on funds, so it may be more of a take out Chinese food picnic on our new floors type of year!

  346. Need this cute stuff in my life stat! I’m in that awkward stage with a guy of “we’ve been dating for one month and now Valentine’s Day is upon us…ummm, what to do?”. Anyone want to set me up on a blind date???

  349. As the ever single girl in my apartment, I’m showing the newly single roommate how it’s done – obviously through all of the greats – Ben & Jerry, Noah & Allie, Johnny & Baby, and maybe a few more I haven’t decided on yet. I can’t wait!

  503. Hi Joy,
I am an avid reader of your blog. I love the images and style.
I am not sure what my husband has planned for this Valentine’s Day, we just had a little girl 6 months ago, (plus we have a two year old son) so it’s really hectic here.
I would love to be at home, feed and put the kids to bed, and then open a nice bottle of Sancerre and either order in or cook something simple and hang out with my husband. Those magic moments at the end of the day are my favorite. And a nice glass or two of wine midweek will be a treat.
Who knows, though? Maybe he has something else planned for me…
Hope all is well with you, and congrats on your little girl! It’s the absolute best thing in the world, isn’t it???

  544. Oh, I so love Ariel’s designs! As for me, I’m leaving Valentine’s Day up to the hubs this year. I figure I can’t lose – either he’ll knock it out of the park or he’ll forget, in which case I’m entitled to make-up jewelry. 🙂

  545. We are staying in this year, but will make a nice dinner at home, and maybe I’ll even attempt making a dessert…which I never do!

  548. Such a fun giveaway! The hubby and I will be doing dinner at home – thinking grilled pizzas + wine + a movie 🙂

  549. This will be my first Valentine’s Day, not only with my boyfriend, but with a “real” boyfriend. I’m excited about that, but also realizing that it’s just a day like any other and trying not to let expectations get out of hand. Because my boyfriend is going on travel the week of Valentine’s Day, we are taking a trip the weekend before. We’re going snowboarding (me) and skiing(him) and staying the weekend at the lodge and going to a nice quiet dinner and just enjoying each other’s company. I’m really looking forward to it 🙂

  563. The day before Valentine’s day is my birthday so I’ll still be basking in birthday love and writing out Valentines to my besties!

  564. Lovely jewelry! My husband and I didn’t make big plans this year, we are looking forward to a quiet night together, even if that is take-out in our PJ’s – busy lives make even that special!
Thanks for the chance and Happy Valentine’s!!

  565. I hope to spend valentines day snuggled up on the couch watching movies with my fiancé 🙂 Although a romantic dinner sounds great, we love to spend time alone whenever we can and I can think of nothing better than hot chocolate, big blankets and mushy movies!

  569. What lovely jewelry! Sadly, since it’s a school night I’ll probably just be studying but I’ll hopefully celebrate by myself with some chocolate 🙂

  570. Oh my, so many lovely pieces in the collection- I love the love knot, and the birthstone chain ring. My husband has been out of town on business, 5 days a week for the last two and a half months, so our plans are to keep it low key-cook dinner together and cuddle up with a movie.

  572. We’ll be making homemade pizza, having a glass of wine, sea salt dark chocolate for dessert, and relaxing with a movie!

  575. This will be the first Valentines Day in years (as in since I was like 15) that I am single so I think I am going to create my dream date for one and celebrate my own awesomeness and independence. Thank you so much for hosting giveaway.

  576. This Valentine’s day is a special one. It is my first one with my husband. I honestly have NO idea what to do for him, except write him a meaningful heart felt letter and have something chocolate! I wouldn’t mind having a cute little necklace around my neck for a first Valentine’s either!

  577. We celebrate Valentine’s every day by remembering to be sweet to each other, to say I love you, and to not go to bed without cuddling!

  578. A night in on Valentine’s day (Tuesday), but a trip to the Aquarium over the weekend prior – it’s our “valentine’s thing” 🙂

  579. The husband and I usually avoid the over-the-top restaurant dinner and stay in, cooking dinner and watching our favorite shows from the cozy couch. It is nice just getting to spend the evening together.

  580. What a SWEET giveaway! For Valentine’s Day, I plan to take my hubby on a sunset hike up a secret ocean-side hill, where there will be a surprised picnic set up, complete with his favorites (poke, peppery wine and gummy bears) and flashlights to help guide us down after some star gazing.

  581. Such a lovely giveaway! I work at a fabulous farm and sea-to-table restaurant, so I will most likely be working on Valentines Day. I hope to celebrate another day with a nice romantic dinner with my boyfriend of [almost!] 7 years.

  582. Yea for Valentine’s Day! I’ll be at home with my kids while the hubby travels. But rest assured, we’ll have sent our love to every friend and family member we know. So much glitter! (love the giveaway!)

  584. What a lovely giveaway! No big plans yet, probably just a quiet night in with people I love and a home-cooked meal.

  585. I plan on having a sweet but low-key Valentine’s Day this year with my boyfriend. I bought him a book he’s been wanting and I’ll slip a love note into his jacket before he leaves for work. Then we’ll probably go out to dinner followed by some lounging on the couch.

  586. sadly our valentines day is getting postponed- H coaches high school hoops and has a game that night. i’ll be cheering on his team and we’ll go out for drinks and sweets after the game.

We do not have any Valentine’s Day plans yet but I hope that we can fit in a romantic dinner, sans baby!

  588. I’m planning on laying low with my honey this Valentine’s. We’ve done fancy dates in the past, but this year we are going to just hang out at home together – maybe with a pizza!

  589. Girl’s night in! Sadly, grad school allows for little celebration. The roommate and I plan to watch a fun rom-com! Thanks for the great giveaway!

  590. Not sure yet… If it’s a weekend day I would love to sleep in as my little Day of Love gift!

  591. We’re going on a hike and then out to dinner the weekend before so as to avoid the crazy crowds. The husband likes nature.

  592. My husband and I will be having dinner at a cute little Argentine restaurant that just opened near us, on 10th Ave in NYC.

  593. V-day will be a dinner date with the whole family, leave the kid with the parents, and a movie date with hubby — or maybe make dinner reservations three days after Valentine’s so it isn’t crowded.

  594. Ooo those pillows are soo cute! I will be attending a community chocolate festival and hopefully a tea party & hat contest!

  595. will have a dinner date with my family, also to celebrate sis’ birthday which falls on V-day. Then head out to a dessert bar with the rest of the family. Next leave the kid with the parent, then catch the late night movie screening with hubby and coffee by the bay afterwards.

  596. I will be attending a community chocolate festival and hopefully a Valentine tea party & hat contest!

  597. This Valentines Day I will be going to happy hour with all of my fabulous single friends and even a few of our favorite couples.

  598. Such a beautiful giveaway! Valentines Day is my FAVORITE holiday. This year my boyfriend and I are getting dressed up and heading out shopping and to a fancy dinner. Even after 6 years together I still get giddy just thinking about Valentines Day. My Ban.do mini red heart hair clip is ready to goooo!

  599. I love the necklace! I wish i could buy them for my three besties. For valentines day I want to do some baking with my daughter during the day and if we are lucky enough to find a sitter go out to dinner with my hubby that night…or at least that week 🙂

  600. I always make roast chicken and potatoes on valentines, followed by a movie on the couch with my fiancé.

  601. I love Ariel Gordon jewelry – it is so simple and classic. The Love Knot ring has been on my wish list forever! Saving up my pennies 🙂
My beau is many miles across the ocean in Australia right now and will be for the next few months so we are having a Valentine’s day brunch (because of the time difference) and champagne Skype date!
    Happy Valentine’s Day everyone x

  602. if all other past years are any indication, my husband and i will make ourselves sick by eating too many chocolates from one of those huge red heart boxes. gotta love tradition 😀 thanks for the lovely give away opportunity!

  603. Awesome necklace! This Valentine’s Day I will spend the night on the phone call with my boyfriend who just told me he will be out of town for work!

  604. Im going to call up a girlfriend of mine as her bf is away for work and surprise her with chocolate fondue!

  606. We will be having a quiet dinner in after our little one goes to sleep. My favorite treat is champagne & popcorn! What a lovely giveaway!

  607. (I submitted a comment, but don’t see it on here – so I thought I’d send it again.)
I have a 5-mile run date planned with my husband, and then hopefully pizza and wine and a movie.

  608. Hanging with my hubby-to-be this Valentine’s Day and making our favorite homemade pizzas (in heart shapes of course!)

  609. Great giveaway! Fun, romantic and quite night with my hubby this valentine’s day!

  610. Oooh tres bien I love February and Valentine’s day! My Mr. and I will be attempting a fancy dinner chez nous as we’re saving for a fab getaway! 611. I’m going to spend making a lovely dinner (penne and shrimp in an herb cream sauce) at home with my hubby and six-month baby boy!

  612. oooo love that necklace! The hubby and I will definitely stick with a romantic night at home. Best way to enjoy each other!

  613. I think on Valentine’s Day my girl friends and I will head to the movie theater to see The Vow! Nothing like spending that holiday w/ a weepy chick flick and Channing Tatum! Either that or I’ll stay home watching Cougar Town 😉

  614. Thankfully, Valentine’s Day is my dad’s birthday. This was always nice for my sisters and I because we never had to worry about having V-Day plans. Now that we are all either married or just not single, it takes pressure off of husbands/boyfriends. My dad gets all of the ladies chocolates and balloons, and we cook him a big lobster dinner topped off with a huge chocolate cake – his fav, and a nice treat since he has been trying to be healthy the past few years. For these reasons, I love Valentine’s Day!

  615. I’m planning a couple things for valentines day. First a nite with some close girlies to make some crafts with hearts all over them. And then with the boy – homemade brunch and champagne. Oh. And I’m making him a stuffed robot.

  616. My husband and I have been married for four Valentine’s Days, but this will be the first one we are able to spend together! I was away at school for the first few years, so we are very excited to finally be reunited for this special day. I’m planning to surprise him with lots of little love notes and poems hidden around the house, a giant sparkly balloon, and delicious baked goods. We’re expecting a baby, so he’s also getting a tiny red sweater. Yay for love!

  617. Oh no- I think my post vanished into the ether! I’ll try again…
First, I just love this give away. The jewelry is spectacular and the pillows are dreamy!
This is the first little Valentine’s Day with our daughter, Ruby. It will be low key and cozy, sweet nothings and yummy food around our own dinner table. Can’t wait!

  618. i love the jewelry! we’ll have dinner at our new home with our 6 month old daughter for her first Valentine’s Day.

  619. I am going with a friend to a champagne and chocolate fountain event at the Oxford Union. Just because I’m single now doesn’t mean I should miss out on the sweets!

  620. My husband is going to make me dinner on V-day. I am excited because he is going to cook a meal from a new cookbook that I am eager to try.

  621. Awesome giveaway. Valentine’s day weekend is our engagement anniversary, can’t believe its been one year! Our wedding is later this year but my plan is to surprise my fiance and propose to him just like he did to me! He created a photo slideshow and made me dinner, so that’s what I’ll be doing this Valentine’s day 🙂

  622. love them both! will be going out on a much-anticipated date with my hubby for only the third time ever since we had our little one eight months ago!

  623. Just a relaxing family night at home with our 2 year old daughter and 3 month old son – happy valentine’s day, all!

  624. Gorgeous stuff! As of right now I have absolutely nothing planned for Valentines. Perhaps a girls night out!

  625. Every year, my husband and I have a themed dinner together. Last year we ate Chicken Parmasean and watched Goodfellas.

  626. oh my goodness! so cute! we are getting a massage then dinner at our favorite restaurant in santa monica:)

  627. The jewelry is lovely! I am guessing that for Valentines we will be out for dinner as well as trying to sneak away for an overnight somewhere downtown. We just don’t get enough time together!

  628. my daughter and I will Skype from Philadelphia with her dad who will be in NYC and then we will make a giant heart mural on the wall together and eat cupcakes. I

  629. This year, instead of having dinner at a fancy restaurant, my boyfriend and I have decided to go for an old school date- burgers and milkshakes at our favorite burger place, Shake Shack, and then a fun movie, very middle school romance!
    Wonderful giveaway, beautiful jewelry!!

  630. No solid plans with the hubby. We like to keep it simple at home on occasions like this. We’ll probably order in and snuggle on the couch and watch a zombie movie.

  631. Since my hubby is away with work this Valentine’s day I will be spending it with my 19 mos. old daughter. Our day will be filled with making and eating cupcakes, making valentine cards for Daddy, and reading a stack of special valentine books from the library. It will be like every other wonderful day, with a little heart theme added in.

  632. Beautiful! Last year me and my beau went to this little dive restaurant in dc that serves amazing mussels and frites…I think we’re going to start a yearly tradition! 🙂

  633. I am single so Valentine’s Day is usually low-key for me. However, I just graduated from college in December and I will be celebrating my graduation in Turks & Caicos and my first full day there will be on Valentine’s Day. I have never been on a tropical vacation before so I am excited to just relax in the pool and on the beach with a yummy, fruity drink in my hand.

  634. What a darling little ring! My mom is watching our daughter while my husband and I go on our first date in at least 6 months!

  635. Aw that ring is precious! I’m planning a surprise picnic for my fiance on Valentines day!!! I’ll be setting everything up in the backyrad next to the pond and trees. I’ve made ALL the decorations from scratch and I plan on making the food as well. I have this romantic image in my head of that day and I hope it goes as planned haha 🙂

  636. I always let my boyfriend surprise me with something sweet. The past few years I’ve come home to candles, chocolate, and a big bouquet of sunflowers. We’ll see whats in store this year 🙂

  637. I LOVE this jewelry. Have always secretly wanted that ring, in fact! Is it terrible that my husband and I never make valentine’s plans?! It’s not for lack of romance, it just sort of feels like New Year’s Eve (amateur night). We tend to spoil each other far more throughout the year than we do in February, I think. Thanks for hosting this fun giveaway!

  638. No big plans. We don’t usually do much to celebrate Valentine’s day here. Maybe a nice dinner at home or some cute decorations for the little ones.

  639. We’re going to have a cosy night eat – we’ll cook dinner, then have some dessert and watch a movie while snuggled up.

  640. going to see the Harlem Globetrotters! How romantic! ha! Actually, I love doing things like this that I know my husband will love – he’ll be giggling like a little kid no doubt!

  643. This Valentine’s day my mister and I will be ordering Thai takeout and hanging out with our baby boy. Most romantic one yet! 🙂

  644. Oh, I’ve wanted that ring since I first saw it! For Valentine’s Day I’ll probably get my husband his favorite meal (KFC), it’s one of the rare occasions he gets to eat it 🙂

  645. My Valentine’s Day plan includes buying some heart-shaped doggie biscuits for my new Boston Terrier puppy and eating at my favorite sushi spot with my fiance.

  646. So pretty!
I get to work on Valentines Day/night, but it’s a great night to be working in a restaurant!

  647. Thanks for hosting such a lovely giveaway! My guy and I recently got engaged and I don’t know what we’ll do for Valentine’s, but I can’t wait to create more memories with him 🙂

  648. there will be chocolate truffles involved, and hopefully fondue and candlelight. and long-jump chinese checkers–i’m addicted!

  649. What a lovely line! I plan to mail out my valentines to all my loved ones and spend the night grabbing drinks with some girls.

  650. that jewelry is fantastic! i think we will have a relaxing night in with some pasta, chocolate cake, and a sweet movie. nothing beats snuggling on the couch 🙂

  651. We got married on v day! So we always go to a French restaurant. I love hearts and I love rings and necklaces 🙂

  652. great question… we have a newborn, so i’m guessing we will stay in for valentine’s day. 🙂 she’s our valentine, so that’s totally ok by me!

  653. Super cute jewelry and baby clothes! Thanks for the chance to win this awesome giveaway! 🙂
I plan on going out with my lifelong best girl friend for dinner and drinks since my hubby will be out of town.

  654. my husband is in the Army and will unfortunately not be home on the 14th, but we’re celebrating the weekend after. we haven’t had a Valentine’s Day together in the three years we’ve been a couple due to military training 🙁 however, we’ll make our weekend extra special and pretend it’s Valentine’s Day anyway! i’m thinking a nice homemade dinner, ruby red wine, chocolate, & lots of snuggles…

  655. I LOVE the heart necklace so much, lovely! My husband and I go out for Valentine’s a few days early and celebrate our “dating” anniversary and Valentine’s together. Cheesy, I know, but we get to reminisce amidst the pink and red!

  656. My daughter and I will exhaust ourselves making potato print valentines, then a bubble bath (for her) to wash away the stray colors, then some cozying up to Dad while we fall asleep to Lady and the Tramp.

  657. My daughter and I will exhaust ourselves making potato print valentines … then a bubble bath (for her) to wash away stray colors, then some cozying up to Dad while we fall asleep to a love story … perhaps Lady and the Tramp?

  658. Gorgeous jewels! It’s my mom’s first Valentine’s Day alone, so I’ll be spending it with her. Girl’s Night!

  659. We usually celebrate Valentines Day in a low key way…we’ll probably get some delicious take out and watch a movie or one of our shows.

  660. My fiance and I will probably spend out Valentines day babysitting for my family and make a nice dinner at home . I usually offer to babysit for everyone because I feel as tho i dont need to go out. <3

  661. Valentine’s Day is usually really low-key for my husband and me. We’ll give each other some treats, have a nice dinner, and call it a day!

    Happy heart day!!

  664. My boyfriend and i are not really all that into Valentine’s Day, and really, I sort of dread the “Holiday”. But this year, we decided to go ALL OUT and do the dinner and romance thing. We are going to go to a fancy restaurant and eat good food and drink lots of wine- while enjoying each other’s company!

  665. So much loveliness in one lovely giveaway! This year, my husband and I will be keeping up our usual Sweetheart tradition and building a cozy fort with all the sheets we can find…

  666. The heart necklace is so pretty! My fiance and I are keeping it low key. We’re planning to eat at our favorite local restaurant and cuddling up watching a movie at home afterwards 🙂

  667. What lovely pieces, very elegant. We’ll stay in and I’ll make dinner for my husband, probably watch a movie…dinner out is too much that night!

  668. Such lovely items. I’m looking forward to a rare night off with my bf for v-day. A little dinner, a little wine.

  669. Love the heart necklace! This year I have class all day so I’m hoping I can stay awake just for dinner! Maybe we can fit in a movie in bed before I crash 🙂

  670. Beautiful jewelry! As the budget is a little tight this year (hubby is back in school), we will be making home-made pasta and a fancy sauce to go with a nice bottle of red.

  671. What a beautiful necklace and pillow! Every year my husband picks a new place for dinner that I might have talked about sometime over the last year…. but it is always a surprise!

  672. Love the jewelry and the pillow! Especially love the delicate little chain. On Valentine’s Day I’ll be… in Vegas for work, and at the Elton John concert!

  673. My husband is usually the cook in our house, but I am planning on surprising him and making a lovely dinner!

  674. Oh I love the Close to My Heart necklace! This is our first Valentine’s Day as a threesome instead of a twosome, so I think our night will involve take-out on the couch after the baby is asleep!

  675. no definite plans yet, but i was just flipping through chocolate recipes and am thinking of giving molten chocolate babycakes a try.

  676. We’ll order some take-out food and hope the kids go to bed early, then we’ll probably be asleep by 9.

  677. Cougar Town (the show), wine, and many snarky comments about how not romantic we are. My boyfriend and i have been together almost three years ago and we joke about how not romantic we are. We do not have an anniversary, have never been to an actual movie together, and he has never given me flowers. However, we love each other a lot and it works

  678. We will be celebrating with our newborn who came early but had a due date of Valentine’s day! It will be a quite night at home – dinner and a movie 🙂

  679. Thank you so much for offering such a lovely and generous giveaway! This year Valentine’s Day will be celebrated at home with our favorite food, wine and music.

  680. What a lovely giveaway! My valentine always sends a bouquet of flowers, and since this year it falls on a Tuesday, I think we’ll do a group date!

  681. New to your site and love it–LOVE the jewelry. Our valentine’s day should be memorable. Getting the feeling he may pop the question after 8 years. 😉 No biggie if he doesn’t as we’ve never been big on that, but what a fun surprise it could be.

  682. What gorgeous jewelry!
I don’t know our exact plans. My husband keeps (at least he tries to) it all a surprise!

  683. I will be baking my very first cake for my hubby and our baby girl…hope it turns out good <3

  684. I can’t believe it’s almost valentine’s! I hope to just spend quality time together with him.

  685. This valentines I plan on remembering the happiness from family and friends I haven’t seen for a long time, reliving happy memories through pictures, and then write letters to friends. Something that makes them happy always make me feel happy!

  686. This year’s VDay is going to be a bit low key (think dinner and a movie at home), but mostly because my husband and I are getting to celebrate our very first real wedding anniversary just two weeks later on Feb 29th!! So we’re leaving the big celebration for then!
Also, this is a lovely giveaway, and I think I went to high school with the model, lol. 🙂

  687. I have plans with a good friend of mine to have a ski ball tournament and batting cage practice. Nothing like getting out a bit of frustration and having fun!

  689. Love how dainty the jewelry is! I will be having a nice quiet evening with my boyfriend. Home-cooked meal and dessert 🙂

  690. Such a lovely giveaway Joy. We have an ultrasound on Valentine’s Day to find out the gender of our baby, so I plan to go out to dinner with my husband to celebrate the results!

  691. Oh, that necklace is gorgeous – thanks so much for this giveaway! I love Valentine’s Day. We always order a heart-shaped pizza from the local pizza place and veg out. Now that our kiddo is getting older, she gets to participate in making Valentines Day cards for our friends and family – we have so much fun together!

  692. This Valentines Day will hopefully be spent at home with my husband and new baby girl. I am 2 days overdue, so she should be here by then!

  693. my husband and i shy away from extravegant valentine’s day plans but a fancy homecooked meal is pretty much perfect

  694. hi joy 🙂 i will be cooking dinner for me and my bf, and then we’ll be cheering on our chicago bulls!

  695. Valentines day is the best day to get together with the girls, wear sweat pants and eat a few pounds of ice cream…and watch sappy movies..its either that or go out and get wasted….I know more than 1 reader has this planned!

  696. Valentines day is the best day to get together with your girl friends, put on your baggy sweat pants and a sappy movie and eat a few pounds of ice cream. Its either that or drink too much wines with your friends…

  697. The heart necklace is so beautiful and delicate!
This V-Day, my boyfriend and I plan to have a lovely dinner and exchange small gifts 🙂

  698. it’s kind of a tradition now for my boyfriend and me to make a valentine’s day picnic dinner for each other. this is our third valentine’s day together, and we will be preparing some of our favorite foods together. it is very low-key and personal, and is a nice way for us to slow down and relax from our crazy college schedule.

  699. I used to have a knotted ring like that as a preteen and promptly forgot all about it until I saw this one! I’d love to have one again; they’re so subtle and sweet.
Since having kids our Valentine’s Days are a lot simpler than most – sushi takeout and a movie, maybe, with handmade chocolates. Now we get to celebrate with more people we love, though – the kids! Today we’re making heart-shaped crayons. 🙂

  700. Love them both! For Valentines day, we are keeping it low key. Cook dinner at home and watch a movie. Perfect date night!

  701. They are both adorable! For Valentines day we are keeping it low key. Cook dinner at home and a movie. Perfect date night!

  702. This is my first Valentine’s Day as a newlywed. I pressured my husband into making a dinner reservation, but he’s just as happy because it’s one of his favorite Richmond restaurants.

  703. So beautiful, I’m such a fan of the fabulous pieces by Ariel Gordon! My boyfriend and I are planning a little getaway to San Diego to celebrate a belated valentines day, can’t wait!

  704. My boyfriend and I haven’t settled on a plan just yet. It’s between a night out at a new place or a night in with a candlelight dinner.

  705. we promised to only make each other valentine’s day cards (mine will be overflowing with glitter, obviously) & then cook at home together…chances of an unexpected disaster are quite good for both.

  706. Joy, I adore this giveaway! I’m a huge Ariel G fan – thank you for this! For Valentine’s Day, my fiance (only 2.5 months left to use that word!) will cook together over Scotch and/or sparkly and celebrate the gift our relationship has been to both of us. xoxoxoLaurenMaxwell

  707. We’ll probably cook dinner and catch up on our DVR’ed shows, and splurge on a nicer-than-normal bottle of wine!

  708. SO excited about this giveaway! My husband and I will be celebrating our one year anniversary 02.26 so that is our splurge! So, we are doing a low key Valentines’s this year by cooking a nice meal and enjoying a bottle of wine! Maybe even some scrabble!?

  709. Spectacular giveaway! We are spending Valentines Day at home with our baby 🙂 But after our little one goes to bed we are making ice cream sundaes and having a movie night! So excited for it, already stocking up on toppings 😉 Happy Valentines Day Joy! Hope you, Bob, and Ruby enjoy it together.

  710. Valentine’s Day is all about my husband and I cooking together. We made a meal together on our first VDay 9 years ago, and we make a variation of the same meal every year. The one thing we absolutely HAVE to make every time is a Sicilian Casada–a most delicious Italian cake with ricotta and chocolate chips. It’s such a lovely tradition.

  711. This is my first Valentine’s Day as a newlywed. I pressured my husband into making a reservation, even though I’ve been cynical about Valentine’s Day in the past. Consider me officially brainwashed into wanting a handful of flowers, a heart-shaped box of chocolates, and to get gussied up for wining & dining at a French restaurant!

  712. This year is my first Valentine’s day as a wife! My husband and I plan to stay in and make ourselves a romantic dinner and pop open one of our fancy bottles of wine we picked up on our honeymoon in the California wine country.

  713. This is my first Valentine’s Day as a newlywed, so I pressured my husband into making a dinner reservation (even though I’ve been cynical about Valentine’s Day in the past). Consider me officially brainwashed into wanting a handful of flowers, a heart-shaped box of chocolates, and to get gussied up for wining & dining at a French restaurant!

  714. My sweet hubs is cooking dinner for us and has a surprise evening planned! Excited to find out what we’re doing!

  715. We will probably just exchange our traditional pun-filled, silly cards and have a nice meal at home. I look forward to seeing what silly card my husband will make every year 🙂

  716. My sweetheart and I will be celebrating our final pre-marriage Valentine’s Day. Five years ago I made him a Valentine meal that won him over. I’d just moved home after college and my mom and dad were kind enough to make other dinner plans so we could be alone. Unfortunately our night was cut short when my parents came home early! I’d like to recreate the dinner, oysters Rockafeller, scallop-stuffed sole, and citrus salad, but this time we’ll won’t have to skip dessert!

  717. We just purchased a home and have a night planned at one of the many restaurants we need to try in the area!

  718. My husband is going to surprise me so I am not sure what the plans are! The last two years we had a special dinner and stayed at a quaint B&B in the Finger Lakes region in NY.

  719. Currently waiting for the boyfriend to return home from his 3 month stay in hawaii… so we’re going to cook the same meal, at the same time, over skype.

  720. oh jeez, i love all of these little treats! i am going to bake a ton of heart-shaped treats and have a rom com marathon.

  721. Nothing special planned this year, as I will be on a different continent than my husband. However we will have our own little V-Day when we are together again!

  722. The boy I’d like to be spending it with is in WI while I’m in NYC. I’ll probably cook myself the duck leg I bought at the farmers’ market and have some wine and wait for our phone date.

  723. My boyfriend & I are celebrating 2 years on Valentine’s day but I don’t know what he has planned.. it’s a surprise 🙂
